Tom Delay supports liberal Republican woman from Ohio to replace J.C. Watts
Focus on the Family Radio Program-November 14, 2002

I heard on the Focus on the Family radio program that Tom Delay was strongly supporting a liberal Republican woman from Ohio to fill J.C. Watts' leadership position. Watts didn't run for Congress this time.

If that is true, I am afraid he is risking the support of the very people who made the recent election victories possible. Why can't conservatives support conservatives instead of trying to give away opportunities to the liberals when we have the most chance of accomplishment?? I will be calling Mr. Delay tomorrow and I hope many others will.

I'm very disappointed that Deborah Pryce is now the 4th-ranked House Republican. She was my Congressman for several years, not something I'm proud of. She is pro-abortion, anti-gun, and said to not be particularly nice.

Oddly, she is being placed in the role of communicating the Republican agenda, yet she is anything but telegenic. Not a good match.

A 75 ACU rating indicates a moderate, not a "liberal"...

Y'all are being silly. The GOP House has consistently put out conservative bills, despite a very narrow majority. Delay is brilliant in pushing the conservative agenda and is a national treasure for conservatives. And,yes, sometimes that means including the "moderates" and throwing them a bone or two. A vote for the Constitution party only helps the liberarls.

Great. We now have a statist RINO as our fourth-leading person in the House. We are pissing away our victory to accomodate socialists, statists, and RINOs.

Gee, I guess if you are not a hardcore, bible-thumping, NRA carrying conservative you are labeled a "liberal". (sarcasm)

I would like to see a conservative in that spot.

That said, I doubt this lady will have much power.

I thought that this was over and that she got the chairmanship. I hoped that I heard wrong. J.D. Hayworth is the best for the job

How can she speak for our party when she doesn't believe what we believe?
