Vermont, Republican won, but did not get 50%, goes to state house, which I think has Republican majority.

Had a GOP majority. 10 GOP incumbents were beaten. Yikes!

We lost Ark. We won Ga, Minn and Missouri. SD is too close to call and there will be a runoff in Louisiana.

So the VNS exit polls Drudge was reporting yesterday turn out to have been right on those races. OTOH, they were disastrously wrong on the NC Senate race and the FL and MD governors' races, in all three cases erring in the RAT direction. Wonder when we'll find out what the story was about their pulling all the exit polls.

So is it a Democrat majority now, or is it a Republican plurality? Does the new House vote or does the lame duck House?

Speaking of spinning, Parris Glendening is blaming KKT's terrible campaign for her defeat, not his own unpopularity.

Somebody explain to me how the Ark. voters who turned out Hutchinson were able to elect Clinton so many times.

I definitely wanted Hutchinson to win, but if the GOP gets the message that you can't be blatantly hypocritical about family values without paying a price, then at least some good will come out of his loss.

In SD, it looks like the Dem registration vote fraud will carry the state.

Clinton is a Democrat and Democrats don't have high moral standards like Republicans do, especially the Religious Right?

It's irrelevant now. The recount will decide the race.

Did you hear Jeb's first words when he made his announcement that he received the call from McBride? "I want to thank Almighty God."

REALLY? No I didn't hear that, very cool! In fact this whole thing is very cool, to put it mildly. A great big celebratory good morning to you and to all! :)

But does the lame duck VT legislature choose the governor?

No, acording to reports here the new legislature will choose the Governor in January after they are seated. The Democrats, expecting to win a plurality in the Gov and Lt Gov races but NOT expecting to win the legislature, ran ugly comercials about the GOP legislature stealing the election. Lets hope they live up to their rhetoric. Generally politics is very civil here and if not the offending party is punished in the next election.
