OK..Ten races...how many will you get right?
Personally, I hope I'm 8 for ten picks and it's a Republican sweep.
Get out and Vote. And then try to take five more people to their polling place.
I dare say Pryor. Hutchinson shot himself among family values voters.
Chambliss (R) - Cleland (D) Senate in Georgia
Chambliss. Cleland seems too liberal for Georgia.
Coleman (R) - Mondale (D) Senate in Minnesota
Coleman in a squeaker. Mondale will contest in the courts.
Talent (R) - Carnahan (D) Senate in Missouri
Talent, easily.
Sununu (R) - Shaheen (D) Senate in New Hampshire
Sununu in a squeaker. The Economist ran an article about Shaheen saying she was running as "Miss Goody Two Shoes". Yuk.
Dole (R) - Bowles(D) Senate in North Carolina
Dole with extreme ease.
Thune (R) - Johnson (D) Senate in South Dakota
Thune in a squeaker.
Simon (R) - Davis (D) Governor of California
Dependent on voter fraud. If Davis can get away with a lot, he'll win.
Bush (R) - McBride (D) Governor of Florida
Bush in a punishing majority.
Ehrlich (R - Townsend (D) Governor of Maryland
Ehrlich. KKT looks like bloody Bucky the Beaver.
Regards, Ivan

And the only reason I picked Townsend is that the thrill of voting for a Kennedy will bring out a lot of Dems and some RINOs.
I say, I say GO JEB!!!

Analysis: Pollsters and pundits have misunderestimated the electorates desire for government that works to protect our vital interests in the first post-911 national election. While neither party vigorously presented a clear and comprehensive economic and national security strategery, it's clear that the democrats not only failed to lead, but obstructed the administrations efforts across a broad legislative spectrum.
That said, today's election will not be issue oriented. It will be "gut feeling" oriented. I believe that a majority of voters feel comfortable with the President's performance on the economy and the war. Since 911, the vast majority of Americans believe in their gut that the President has "gravitas" and nobody on the democrat side has been able to counter-balance his favorable's. Moreover, republicans are lined up behind the Presidents traditional conservative principals while democrats aren't playing nice in their liberal sandbox. The far left (Donahue) is fighting with the middle left (Chris Matthews) and conservative democrats (Breaux) are totally disgusted and virtually silent. Therefore, I believe this President will have "coat-tails" that will help bring the close elections into the GOP camp and deliver larger-than-expected margins in races that favor republicans. Essentially, this election will give George W. Bush the "mandate" missing in the 2000 election.
JMHO
there will soon be much crying and gnashing of teeth by the DemocRATS.
