BTW: To you voters in Minn. I am rereading a book on Hillary Clinton, and found an interesting tidbit about the esteemed former VP/Senator Mondale. He was very much interested in a position with the Clinton administration. Of course because Hillary was the one really putting it in place, she was choosing all minorities and females. Mondale was quoted in a published interview as saying;
"When I was giving all those speeches about affirmative action, I didn't mean me."
He had told the interviewer that he had been passed over for a position because he was a white male. Interesting isn't it, that his political rhetoric was only meant for the rest of us, not for him or his.
Good deal Minn. This is who you want, Mr." I'll tax their asses off fake champion of minorities" to represent you?

The only problem with this is that the only elections Zogby seems to get right are the Presidential ones. He missed the state and Senate races in 2000 pretty badly. Anyone remember Bush and Gore, dead heat in CA, Lazio leading Hillary in NY?

The Lautenberg/Forrester race will be far closer than he is reporting. If this is representative of the quality of his polls this cycle he will end up with egg on his face.

Okay, Lessee-
Zogby Says the Texas Senate race vote will be
TX: Kirk 48% vs. Cornyn 49%
Zogby also says the Texas Gov's race vote will be
TX: Sanchez 36% vs. Perry 50%

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/NEW_POLLS/polls-GOVERNOR2_02.html#TX

So, let me get this straight. Kirk is having a huge and sudden surge of minority voters, mostly Hispanic, who are going to vote for him because he is a black Democrat. Precisely at the same time, the very same huge, sudden surge of Hispanic voters is staying away in droves from Sanchez who IS Hispanic?

Well, I never was very good at arithmatic, but this, to me doesn't seem to add up. I tell you, THIS little Latino Duck is having trouble swallowing this baloney. No matter what Liberals would like to think about "people of color" or "the brown peoples of the earth" Hispanics DO NOT consider themselves just another, lesser, variety of black folks. Kirk but not Sanchez? ALL LIES!

I think Zogby & freinds are in fantasy land here. In fact, I guess that Zogby will next announce that he has moved into a gingerbread house on gumdrop lane!

I don't believe it, either. Kirk has spent more time campaigning in San Francisco raising money for TV ads than campaigning in the Rio Grande Valley.

I simply don't believe that Kirk is close to Cornyn. Period.

Zogby is smoking something again.

He's smoking crack. Not a single poll in Texas shows the race being ANYWHERE near that tight.

Was going to say the same thing.. Don't know that it will be the cake walk but these numbers are way off.

Zogby's Minnesota numbers look funny to me. He has only 5% undecided or going to third parties in a state that has some of the most active third parties in the nation. While the major parties have generated all the publicity, I find it hard to believe the combined vote of the Green, Libertarian and Independence party will be only 5%.

Zogby has become a media celebrity. To me that is far more suspicious than his family's ties to the Democrats. For once some academic types start to like seeing their faces on TV, they start spinning their work to what the networks want to hear. It happened to the once respected legal scholar Lawrence Dershowitz, it happened to once repsected economist Paul Krugman, and now it might be happening to Zogby.

Zogby is working hand and hand with the DNC and has little credibility as far as I am concerned. He was bit more believable several yrs ago when he was an up-and-comer and was trying hard to build up his business. Now he doesn't need to do that. It no longer matters to him that people like you and me have figured him out. Now he can make plenty of money getting gigs at MSNBC. He doesn't need to work so hard to convince people he is
unbiased.

All you Zogby bashers should go back to 2000 and see what kind of posts were put up about Zogby then too. He has a vested interest in being right. He is not going to put out a poll showing the Rats winning, if that is not what his research shows. How does that benefit him? Who is going to want to pay him for wrong numbers? C'mon here.

Like everyone else here, I find most of these polls hard to believe. Let me just say this..

Zogby had Torricelli up big just a few days before he dropped out. It turns out that Zogby was probably off by about 25% in NJ. Stick with the local pollsters for these races and you will get a better picture of the races.

The real question is is that populace representative of the whole populace? Just because you don't answer doesn't mean you have a different opinion than someone who took you place on the call list..... or does it?

I think folks who screen their calls might be somewhat more conservative than the population as a whole.

Also, many of the Dems are going to be minorities and people with lower incomes. Due to the lower income they are less likely to have caller ID.
