When the men and women came back from the Gulf War, the list of elected officials wasn't this large when the discussions came up for spending money to cure them of the weird symptoms they had brought home.

Politicians will do a lot of wonderful things as election dates draw closer but then they forget that they are supposed to add funds to these Bills to make them effective. Just an "Oops" and "Lets hope the voters memories are short"

Well, there is no problem because voters memories are shorter than TV commercials. We keep voting for the incumbents and proving how short our memories are.

Yes, congress critters will show up at Veteran's Day events shaking hands and promising everything. After the election, it's business as usual.
