NEW JERSEY DEBATE:

Incoherence and Prevarication Characterize Lautenberg's Performance

Mia T, 10-30-02

As anticipated, the answers to the questions in the animation, below, are a resounding "NO!" and "NO!"

To those who missed the New Jersey debate, it was populated by a motley assortment strange second-string candidates whose primary purpose, it seemed, was to limit Lautenberg's prime-time stumbling.

As it turned out, there weren't nearly enough of them to achieve this end. Lautenberg was ubiquitously incoherent, stumbling, bumbling, nasty, prevaricating and totally out of touch with the needs of the post-9/11 world.

The defining moment, in my view, came when Forrester asked the doddering old fool whether he would change his various votes against the Gulf War and national defense, votes that, along with clinton malfeasance and malpractice, put us in this mess in the first place.

Displaying an intransigence that comes with advanced years, Lautenberg said that he wouldn't change a single vote, seeming to argue that consistent error in the face of terror trumps circumspection and strength. Lautenberg played right into Forrester's hands.

Forrester issued the coup de grâce, stating that Lautenberg's answer was proof positive that we need new thinking for the 21st century, especially in a post-9/11 world.

LOL......Lousenberg is no Admiral Stockdale!!!

How funny to that Louse bragged about enlisting when he was 18 yrs. old and Forrester didn't serve. It seemed like the Louse was in World War 1.......he was so feeble looking.

And how about the lie, that he didn't raise any money.....just that little loan he gave himself!!! LOLOL........

The contrast between your clarity and the incoherence of the Democrats demonstrates how they use incoherence as the enabler of their prevarications and other misdeeds.

Did Hannah really say "rotton to the core"?!??

Today when we were listening to the radio and hearing about VP Cheney out campaigning state to state for republican candidates, we (husband and self) recalled how the RATS professed to be terribly afraid that Cheney would not be up to the VP job because of heart problems. Now the RATS are doing what they always do and reversing themselves on their health watch---- when it conflicts with putting up an old, tired, interim candidate to save the NJ senate seat for them. To date they are running a dead woman, two over the hill retired guys, and the widow of another candidate who was elected while deceased. Young RAT candidates had better toe the mark and watch their backs---theres more where these replacements came from.

Great line.... when you see the dead donkeys in the road, you'll know the jackass party is in full retreat.

Maybe people will wake up next Tuesday and decide to be ADULTS for a change and vote Republican.
