[It is not "free trade" killing American business. It is a generation of CEOs who have no entrepreneurial experience and no loyalty to anyone (or any country for that matter). They are only interested in short-term profit so they can cash out their shares while the market price exceeds the real worth of the companies they have plundered. They are not capitalists; they are not producers; they are thieves who prey on a greedy public which is ignorant of any economic understanding]

Well, I agree, but 'Free Trade' is the vehicle to do that and it was negotiated by our government. NOt only negotiated, but we, the taxpayers, have funded building of factories in foreign countries so our workers can be put out of a job.

We have been overrun with illegals that have taken jobs from us. These people don't just do menial labor. They have taken the skilled jobs also. They have been able to do this as they do work for less, not as much as most people think. They real attraction to corporations is the fact they have no responsibility to them. If they had a complete turnover at a construction site, no one would know the difference except perhaps just the supervisor. As far as the company was concerned, they don't care if they have false ID. They aren't going to withhold taxes, pay medical expenses, workman's comp. The taxpayers will be forced, figuratively if not literally, at gun point. If the government would stay out of the equation, this could not take place.

[It is not the “government"; it is not the evil businessmen; it is not even the wretched educational system. It is every one of us. We are enslaved to our own bellies. We have preferred safety to liberty, excess to investment and sloth to industry. We can still change course, but how will we respond? We are raising a generation who will either restore or annihilate the Republic. The choice is ours.]

I can find nothing with which to disagree in that paragraph. But I don't think we are going to change it.The government put out the bait and we swallowed hook, line and sinker.

Well, not to brag but I'm not a loser. I have a lot of assets and have been in the same business for 30 yrs and my son is starting to take over. I am a success because I work hard and I'm smart and I see what free trade has done to our community. I've never been in a tornado or a hurricane but I've seen the damage they create.
