You make some excellent points EV. I've been following your efforts and the race in WV fairly closely and I gotta tell ya, I admire your tenacity and hard work. The race has been tightening for weeks; I'm hoping Jay can close the gap by Nov 5.

As far as the talking heads go, the pontifications they make are based on data that is at least a week old, so here's hoping you don't run out of weeks. Pullin' for ya from Texas where it appears we've got a pretty easy go of it this time around. Taking nothing for granted however; it's not too late for an October surprise...

BTW, I've had NO luck finding a poll on the Rocky/Wolfe race. Can you point me to anything that might be helpful?

Best of luck in WV.

There have exactly zero poll results released by ANYBODY.

If someone thinks that a multizillionaire like Rockefeller hasn't done any polling, I have a bridge over the Ohio River I'd like to sell them. ;-)

If his polling showed this race was over with, he would have released them already, IMO.

As to our internal polling, suffice it to say that we believe we are within striking distance...with the President's visit this week, our radio that is now running...and possibly some hardhitting TV ads in the last days of the campaign...as well as the thousands of phone calls, the hundreds of thousands of lit pieces being dropped, the churches being activated, the Pro-life endorsement letters going out this week....etc., we are still moving votes.

We do believe that the ultraleft Charleston Gazette is going to release the results of a poll in the next 48 hours...and we do expect it to be heavily skewed against us. However, the enthusiasm of our troops is such that we think they will overcome that...and perhaps those very numbers will be the thing that convinces hardcore Dems to stay home. ;-) Historically, there are some counties that see no more than 20% Dem turnout in a midterm.
