CHICAGO (AP) -- Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan acknowledged Saturday that suspected sniper John Allen Muhammad is a member of the religious group.

But Farrakhan said the man would be ousted from the Chicago-based group if he is convicted in the series of shootings that left 10 people dead and three wounded.

Yes. Although they keep claiming that either the FBI brainwashed the men or that they planted them years ago to serve such a purpose.

Calypso Louie had no wiggle room to lie on this one. That's the only reason for the candor.

How convenient that this so called Nation of Islam disowns John Mohammed only after he's killed a bunch of Blacks and others. The school boy the sniper shot is black and is in pretty rough shape. W/ years of rehab ahead of him.

Apparently JAM was a major wannabee, and bragged about his work with the FBI and CIA while in Antigua after having abducted his three kids. I wouldn't be surprised if he added having worked security for the MMM as another tall tale.

Lets break this ring down.

Yea. At the time Louis X was a diciple of Elijah Mohammed and when Malcolm split he wanted to get in good with the old man so he became the fiercest basher of Malcolm.

""Those who knew him never said ugly things about his conduct or his behavior," Farrakhan said."

Perhaps those who knew him did not consider his conduct or behavior to be worthy of condemnation.

Exactly. Most the NOI members I've met were simple thugs who put up a front of being pious and educated. Usually it was quite the opposite, angry black racist men who knew nothing.

Farrakhan said Muhammad joined the Nation of Islam in 1997 but that he had not been in contact with the group since 1999, when he was involved in a domestic dispute with his wife, also a member of the group.

Yes, Carol Mohammad tells us how when John Mohammad ran off to Antiqua with the children and she became ill and had no money, she turned to the church which offered her no assistance. No help what so ever.

I have no great interest in the organization, though I do have some admiration for Malcom X(a man of some integrity , and given his views he had the makings of a genuine conservative).

The interesting this is the remarkable lack of knowledge that people sympathetic to Malcom X, NoI, etc. have about that point in history, and Malcom X's place in it. I have gotten empty, wide eyed looks from people when I talk about this: Malcom's split from NoI, for example, the details of his own politics, and the details of the split and the details surrounding his cold blooded murder.

People just don't know their history. What's even more amazing is they arrogantly don't know their history - I have spoken with people about these events and they know almost nothing about it, except that Malcom X was murdered. When I begin to offer details, they recoil, and shake their heads, hoping that I am somehow wrong and off base.

Weird.

Malcolm could have gone the David Horowitz route. His racism was more of a defense mechanism to justify his anger at America and society. However you're right, towards the end he came to realize that his anger and hatred helped no one. All he did was further the agenda of a hypocrite and adulterer and it upset him. After his pilgrimage where he was exposed to real Islam and not the "black man is god BS" that Elijah was preaching he changed greatly. Maybe not enough but still a good deal.

Why hell, who would say anything derogatory about this loose end, they were afraid that they would be shot execution style.
