Free Republic's Technical Problems

Of late, FR seems plagued with slowdowns. Is this a temporary problem or is some limit being approached?

I think that FR should replace the hamsters with Rats. They are full of hot air and can spin their wheels with ceaseless energy. Might as well make use of them.
