SEATTLE - KING 5 News has learned of a possible link between the sniper investigation in Washington D.C. and Western Washington. Tacoma police have sectioned off a backyard in Tacoma and are searching it using metal detectors and chain saws.
The search in Tacoma is now being conducted in the 3300 block of South Proctor Street near the Tacoma Mall. FBI agents in Seattle acted after investigators in the D.C.-area shootings called asking them to check it out.
