I agree that drive by shooters would soon depart to wherever such monsters spend eternity, if everyone in America were ordered under penalty of law to arm themselves, and firearms and ammo were provided by the government to those who cannot afford them. Imagine the scum of the land in the proccess of an intended drive by shooting, instead having to survive a block long gauntled in a cross fire from irate and armed citizens? Gotta love it!
I am not as sure that the sniper viper would be history yet. The cowards coward who fires from cover upon innocent victims is harder to present with the desserts so richly deserved, but I believe the likelyhood of him dying of old age, while pampered in prison, even after capture and conviction, would be greatly reduced.

- all related to the sniper case in the Washington D.C. area.
