He's still in critical condition. They did get the bullet but the main purpose of the surgery was to continue to repair his pancreas and stomach. Spleen was probably removed last night as it was very badly damaged. His kidney was grazed but hopefully not damaged too badly. This man's health will never be the same if he lives. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

Mine are too...I always maintain hope that people can recover the worst of injuries and return to a normal, healthy life afterwards. People are tough, this man is fairly young, and I know many people are praying for him.

The stomach shot is supposed to be one of the most painful and gruesome of all bullet injuries, when the victim survives. I wonder if the shooter was toying with that in mind rather than having an "off" shot.

There was shooting on Hwy50 or 51 in St. Louis, MO a few days ago. It hit news and disappeared. Was it copycat, local murder or attempted murder, or what? Anyone hear that besides me? I never heard end result. I thought it might be another sniper like DC, and then it was gone.
