"...as may have been the case with Hesham Mohamed Hadayet, who gunned down two people July 4 at the El Al counter of Los Angeles International Airport."
That one was NEVER called terrorism, though it was OBVIOUS the guy was inspired by his devout muslim INSPIRED desire to kill Jews.
It was later shown that he should have been denied entry to the US, by the incompetent INS. He openly admitted membership in the SAME organizations in Egypt that killed Sadat. Those being forerunners to al Qaida--the Muslim Brotherhood.
His wife got citizenship through the Lottery, and he got to stay as her husband.
If it turns out our government cannot or will not protect Americans from Islam, it will need to be done some other way.

One of the most troubling aspects of this whole refusal or reluctance to admit the terrorist angle to this is that it seems to indicate an absolute reluctance to confront what will have to happen if we are not to simply capitulate to the Muslims, namely, we must immediately deport those who came illegally, as well as those who have known ties to Islamic terrorist organizations.
If the government of the people will not protect the people, the people should and will, protect themselves.
We are at war and the enemy lives in our midst, aided by those who refuse to accept the imminent danger surrounding them.

We all know that an Al Qaeda terrorist wouldn't lie, and the folks at WorldNetDaily certainly aren't paranoid...
It's a serial killer folks. Sure, it's serial killer who has come up with a new twist, but it's still probably a home grown young adult(s) who watches too many movies and has tired of video games.

"most terrorists would not have killed a 13-year-old boy and targeted him" - Connie Chung.
Until we get serious and crack down on the white conservative right-wing extremist movement we aren't going to find this crazy right-(white)-wing extremist gun-nut sniper. If it weren't for republicans (white right wing extremist party of white right wing conservatives) and criminal madmen in the NRA we could have passed responsible gun laws years ago and these attacks never would have happened. Now that they are happening the NRA and the republicans are blocking legislation which would help us catch criminals like this white right wing conservative extremist gun nut sniper.

One of the planned attacks targeted U.S. senators on a golf course. Al Qaeda seems interested in targeting senators. Now, just who did that anthrax get sent to?

Investigators plan to ask terror suspects held at the U.S. base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, whether the al Qaeda plot might be tied to the sniper murders in Virginia and Maryland.Investigators PLAN to ask? Why the delay? Nobody there thought this could be terrorist related before now?!

Sources noted that some key information is being kept from the public because police want to keep it from the sniper, who they believe has been watching their press briefings and closely following media accounts of the investigation's progress. This was made clear by Montgomery County, Md., Police Chief Charles Moose following a recent tactical session with other Washington-area police chiefs, when he implored reporters not to reveal about any leaks from the meeting because the sniper is watching.
So use the media to steer the perps...

Personally, I have concluded that "terrorism" is the most likely--thought not the only--plausible explanation for these attacks.

Investigators believe that whoever is doing the shooting knows area roads - leading them to think that the sniper is a local resident or someone who has been in the area for some time.

Tons of Muslims are in the taxi, limo and courier businesses. They know the roads. One of the biggest terrorists Jordan caught drove taxi in Boston for many years.

BOSTON -- A man who once drove a cab for a living through the streets of Boston is on trial in Jordan, suspected of being a terrorist for Osama bin Laden. And now authorities believe he was also a one-time informant for the FBI.
In a NewsCenter 5 exclusive, David Boeri reports that Raed Hijazi, once of Everett, Mass., is believed to be a leading connection between the hijackers of four airplanes and bin Laden.
The former Boston cab driver is now on trial for conspiracy to blow up a luxury hotel in Jordan and the Jews and Christians inside it. He has also been a suspect in the bombing of the USS Cole last year that killed 17 American sailors and wounded 39 others.
Jordanian prosecutors say that he admitted to training in Afghanistan at a terrorist camp run by Osama bin Laden.
A reliable source said that in the 1990s, Hijazi was an informant for the Boston bureau of the FBI. An American citizen, he was living in Everett, when, a source said, he was stopped by FBI agents investigating a drug-trafficking network that was bringing in white heroin from Afghanistan..................

Good, about time the so called main stream press is putting this out there. I tell people I come in contact with about this training film and they know nothing about it! I am sure they think I am nuts since Dan or Peter hadn't told them about it
Good to see also the El Al shootings mentioned as a possible terrorist attack, FINALLY!

I was researching something else (who financed Bonior's trip to Iraq), but came across a link on
Find Law about a complaint filed in Sep of this year claiming a link between Iraq and Bin Laden. Lots of info there (79 pages), have not been able to verify the facts yet, but it looks very well researched. The
file is in PDF format (slow download). Thought you might be interested in the link.

Question: Has there ever been a confirmed case of a lone terrorist repeatedly sniping at civilians in a foreign country? Note, I don't consider dirtballs crawling out of UN camps in the territories to snipe across the Israeli border and then returning as counting as "foreign countries".

As to the identity of the sniper/snipers - A Burmese man (former guerilla fighter) told me that he believes this is the work of a terrorist - but who is being paid to kill. For every "hit" a payment is made. This is apparently quite common in his neck of the woods (SE Asia) where criminal networks and political organizations pay guys to make hits for whatever purpose. He also said that given that the shootings are taking place in the DC area, that it is probably a Muslim inspired job, just another way to provoke terror and fear and to examine law enforcement's responses. Sick stuff, but maybe there is some truth to it.
