Islamofascist I have adopted this word into my regular usage. I wonder, did Steyn coin this term?

I have yet to see Mark Steyn miss his target. But that's not his only claim to fame. He uses your own mental processes to reach and convince you. The full significance of what he's writing about comes upon you from behind, like a storm riding a high wind, and then overwhelms you with its eloquence and the power of your own sudden realization. He's a master.

Well, if the insensitivity of Western tourism is the root cause, Margo can relax: its not gonna be a problem any more. He is so good. Still reading...

Both sides should acknowledge candidly that although they might use identical terms these mean different things to each of them, he said. The word peace, for example, implies to a Muslim the extension of the Dar al-Islam or House of Islam to the entire world. This is completely different from the Enlightenment concept of eternal peace that dominates Western thought. Only when the entire world is a Dar al-Islam will it be a Dar a-Salam, or House of Peace. The objective isnt a self-governing Palestine but the death of the West. I wonder how long it's going to take for more people to understand this? It's apparent that the western thought process is much different from that of the moslem. How many more of us have to die before that's realized?
Thanks for posting this important article, Pokey.

As Western culture becomes more degenerate, more moderate Muslims look at it and choose to go back to stricter observance. The Muslim women who are taking on the veil again -- after their mothers threw it off -- are doing it deliberately.
I'm not defending the Islamists. They are terrible. And you can't ignore the fact that Arabs and other Muslims have a pathological hatred of Jews.
But I am saying that the degeneration of Western culture is hurrying up the process of radicalizing Islam. Especially in Europe, where the gay lobby runs everything. A Muslim woman takes a look at what is going on around her and thinks, I'd rather spend my life wearing a veil than have my sons turn out queer and my daughter behaving like sluts.

Bush needs to read this....I love our prez, but get tired of the pc mantra, "It's a religion of peace." Religion of peace....yeah, right. Ari reinforced this "Islam is a religion of peace" mantra at yesterday's press conference in response to a question from Les Kinsolving. I just wanted to beat my head against a wall. New York? Washington? Bali? Will someone PLEASE wake up?

The future, unless something drastically changes:
We would have preferred to hit a US [substitute what you like here],
but no problem because they are all infidels.'

"As Hussein Massawi, former leader of Hezbollah, neatly put it, We are not fighting so that you will offer us something. We are fighting to eliminate you."
That sums it up very well. People better wake up.
