Truth, and justice always prevail, it just seems to take time. Here we have the truth, said in a nutshell.

I watched Goldberg on donohue last nite he was great!

Lets support the right and watch the commies fall.

Great analogy, can't help but nodding my head in agreement, as I read, point by point. Thanks for this post.

Also a big similarity in "the ends justify the means" mentality. Nothing matters (the facts, who gets hurt, what gets trampled on), as long as their ideology and hold on the reins remain intact.

Oh! so true. Communism, Socialism, Liberalism all poured from the same bunghole from same barrel of poison. Very cogent analysis I would say. Regan handled Soviet Communism, WELL!, for the journalist with a little of that spirit, that could pull off a total expose'..

I remember the day I read (Iceland meeting) Regan argued to the Russians, "We need a nuclear umbrella purely as a defensive weapon(against MADD), and we've developed one TOOOO", after some huffing, grandstanding, etc. from the Russians.

"AND WE WILL GIVE THE TECHNOLOGY TO (((YOU))) TOO, FOR FREE"

Pulled the farking rug right from under them iceholes .....
Bwahahahaha...(what a guy-Regan) Everybody knows what happened after that...

Great Article. Thanks.

a cadre of narrow-minded, ignorant, lazy, short-sighted, bigoted and arrogant people with an absolute belief in a silly, simplistic, shallow and completely erroneous ideology.

Like the Soviet leaders, the media elitists publicly espouse high ideals and concern for the common man while privately behaving like aristocrats and devoting most of their energies to protecting, preserving and increasing their wealth, power and privilege

That's also a description of the government. The government nor government officials are the highest authority. The individual is the highest authority. The US Constitution is the highest law of the land, not the government officials. Objective law is the authority for government and to be upheld by government officials. Government officials are not the authority for government.

Goldberg revealed that when newswoman Connie Chung's popularity started to rival that of Dan Rather's, Rather deliberately destroyed her career - much as the Soviet Communist Party bosses deliberately

That routine among opposing political candidates.

The Communist bosses believed that they had an absolute mandate to rule the Soviet Union, and that their ideology was absolutely correct. The American media elite believes that the collection of prejudices, half-truths, truisms and liberal politics it calls an ideology is the absolute truth and that they have an absolute right to force those truths on the American people

As if somehow people and society could not continue to prosper without 3,000 new laws and regulations this year and 3,000 new laws next year, year after year. How is that the working-class men and women were able to increase prosperity and well being for years and decades prior without this year's new laws, yet suddenly government officials proclaim that we working-class men and women will run headlong into destruction without them creating all those new laws. They proclaim from on high that they are "must-have" laws.

America's media elite can't grasp the obvious truth that the liberal system and ideology they favor simply doesn't work and is actually harming the nation.

Nor do government officials grasp the obvious honesty that voting for the lesser of evils doesn't work and is actually harming the citizens and society in general.

Today's news media leaders find themselves in a similar situation to the Soviet leaders. They retain much of their power, position and influence but nobody actually believes in them or their ideology any more, just as the Russian public in the 1970s and 80s considered the Soviet leadership a bad joke and saw the obvious truth that Communism was a shoddy lie.

Average Americans today consider the media leadership (particularly the big three network anchormen Tom Brokaw, Peter Jennings and Dan Rather) a bad joke and no longer believe anything the big media says.

Each day brings more and more people willfully dismissing themselves from bogus government authority.

According to the Pew Research Center, two-thirds of Americans do not believe what they see on the TV news is real. Radio talker Rush Limbaugh now probably has more influence than all major TV news personalities put together.

That is movement away from supposed higher authorities and deeper into individual authority. In the process, each day more people are abandon the media and politics.

Like the Communist Party bosses, the media elitists have failed to see the disastrous situation they've created for themselves. And like the Communist Party bosses, the media elitists will probably find themselves out in the cold when their system collapses.

Likewise, politicians and bureaucrats have failed to see the disastrous situation they've created for themselves. Like the Communist Party bosses, parasitical politicians and self-serving bureaucrats along with the media elitists will find themselves ostracized when their "system" collapses.

Good post. The internet will be one of the tools to hasten the sorely needed demise of these pinheads. Bit by bit- chip away and fight back.

"...the media elitists publicly espouse high ideals and concern for the common man while privately behaving like aristocrats and devoting most of their energies to protecting, preserving and increasing their wealth, power and privilege."

Precisely; hence, the term, "Limosine Liberal"! :o)
The hypocracy of which isn't nearly as bad as how the Liberal-Socialist media's going about their *job* of destroying America, Capitalism, AND enriching themselves at the same time.

Take a good LOOK at the "Tax Status" these people at "Associated Press" et al are claiming & one'll find, almost unanimously, the media's Liberal-Socialists are filing as 501© (3) tax-free status organizations.
*Somewhat* reminicent of the *royals* exempting themselves from paying taxes up to relatively recently, eh?

The body politic had better get savvy to this particular virus, before the thing inevidably winds-up killing it.

In any event, I find the useful idiots who're comprising the talking heads we see, are mere puppets for those behind the scenes players who're really calling the shots.
I believe another article posted here a few weeks back had a name for these behind the curtain people responsible for pulling all the strings??
Quote: "As Robert Locke states in his article: 'Corporatism blends socialism and capitalism not by giving each control of different parts of the economy, but by combining socialism's promise of a government-guaranteed flow of material goods with capitalism's private ownership and management.'"
(refer: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/758695/posts )

Recall the term, "Corporatism"???

"Today's news media leaders find themselves in a similar situation to the Soviet leaders."

Yes, but by design!
I cannot believe the people responsible for everything we've been forced to endure are sitting around going, "Geeee, wa happuned?"
Baloney.

There're many similarities between the totalitarian regimes & the ruling elite thereof, v.s., today's media BigPigs.
I can easily agree with much of what this writer posits; however, by the same token?
There're some glaring misunderstandings concerning the Liberal-Socialist's motives behind this media of our's obscuring what I really believe they're up to, also.

"Like the Communist Party bosses, the media elitists have failed to see the disastrous situation they've created for themselves. And like the Communist Party bosses, the media elitists will probably find themselves out in the cold when their system collapses."

"Their system" [here] is, of course, their source of financing within our Capitalist nation, eh?

Those closest to the CCRM project have already noted there're several of the cable outfits who're in desperate financial trouble.
Either CNBC *or* MSNBC comes to mind right off the bat, as they've been forced to make changes in "producers" ("middle management," no less) et al in an effort to stop the $$ hemorrhging.
But you can bet your life there're most certainly others who're in some equally serious $$ trouble, also.
Thing is since they're making the "news" we'll not be hearing about their status until it's well into their 11th hour.

All-in-all an interesting read.

...thanks bert.

The democrat party fits the description quite well... I guess thats why the media elite love democrats.

This was coming long before 911, but after the attack Americans woke up with a jolt. Rather is by far the worst, closely followed by Couric & Lauer. Peter Jennings is an elitist moron that isn't even an American citizen, and Brokaw is a wondering mass of illogic that fails to make any point he tries. Their ratings are in the tank, and the American people would rather watch Fox (if only we all had cable). Newspapers are in worse trouble, most lefty fishwraps are tanking. When the NYSlimes prints it's final edition I swear I'll go to NYC, buy a copy, and go to Times Square and get arrested for public urination (guess what my target will be).

The American people are wide awake, and they don't like what they see. Our free press has turned against America and her values, they have turned against her people. The People are turning them off and tuning into Fox, or the internet, some just turn off the TV altogether and read a book, "Atlas Shrugged" in my case.

I am gleefully watching the decline of socialism and a restoration of truth in the American media. It is something I can tell my grandchildren about.

Thank you for pinging me to this. And it is certainly interesting.

You know, I don't work in quite the same high powered field as those cited in the article. But with the same breath, I am blessed that my boss allows me to (once a week) write a column (along with the other hum drum crap I write! *L*) that sparks controversy. (BTW, in case you haven't noticed..I can't spell for nutz, that's what sub-editors are for!!! *L*)

Funny isn't it..when I write plain and honest truths, the dumbwits who can't fill in a job application form to get themselves off welfare, all of a sudden find themselves writing tomes in objection. *L* (when they do that though, I KNOW, I'm fighting the right fight)! *L*

Interesting too...the Irish Times (ye know the Up Chuck publication of the chattering classes, which is slowly going down the financial tubes) has just appointed a new editor. A woman. And a conservative (well in many respects).

The tide is a-turning.

I'm glad I don't have to compete in the American market though.
It would turn me off writing, period. I'd be a check-out girl at Wal-mart.
