The problem is when do you know that your plates have been stolen.

Here in Kali, the bad guys will steal the front license plate from a vehicle and put it on their real license holder.

You can go weeks and not notice if your front license plate was stolen. The really sneaky ones will replace your license with another license. Who really reads their license plate unless it is a vanity plate.

Good points. You really need to get into LE or e-mail Homeland Security folks. It would empower the locals in MD to actually DO something besides worry - the police should tell people to check out their license plates each morning and each evening and call if a problem.
