I'm sure they did it for safety reasons but I felt even more UNSAFE walking ( extremely fast) that whole distance

For as long as these guys are active, I suspect it's a lot safer to run than to walk any distance one has to cover out of doors.

Oh trust me I would run....unfortunately I had 3kids under 5 in tow....the best I could do was hip 2 of them and make my 5 yr old hang on to my shirt as we walked as fast as we could. The look on his face as my normal " get in the car" turned into " GET INTO THE CAR RIGHT NOW-NOW!!!!"....horrid.
