This makes me sick at my stomach! With three school children, Im scared to send them to school...a place where they are supposed to be safe!
To: OReilly
Good point. And I think the "theory" is that there is more than one shooter.
To: tomkat
How many times was the woman that survived shot?
To: floriduh voter
Just dial 911 and let the goverment take care of us.
To: MrB
I think they were all public. gas station, parking lots, mowing lawn...
To: OReilly
I think that the woman on the bench in front of a store had a missed shot behind her into the window. This would make it 2 shots, 1 miss. (Unless the shot that hit her then went into the window)

Most likely she got him to the hospital way before a 911 call would have brought paramedics to him, and then he still would have had to be transported to the hospital. I wonder if one of the shots was meant for the mother, and the boy fell into the line of fire.
When a Pali terror attack occurs in Israel, posters often comment that ol' Saddam the puppetmaster is merely diverting attention from Iraq. I wonder if it's now happening in the US.

A middle school would presumably be surrounded by open areas.

I'm guessing that both of you are guessing.

Fox just reported cops were posted in the school and I'm sure others heard the shot and called police while mother drove son to hospital. I wouldn't wait for an ambulance either.

Close to the beltway. Makes escape fast and easy.

Wouldn't AQ go for something more dramatic, like doing this in several cities simultaneously? This may terrorize the DC area but it doesn't have a nationwide impact.

To: OReilly; All
true ...
another question:
assuming someone hit would not be long on their feet,
would the fact this kid was hit twice tend to rule out a bolt-action weapon,
and point instead to at least semiauto ?

Did you happen to notice that most of the vehicles owned by the victims were mini-vans or suvs? I don't know if that means anything or not (except for the guy mowing his lawn.) Did this mom have a van or a car? Prayers for mom. They are the latest victims of 9-11.

Possible sniper alert!
Prayers for the teen.

You are SO right! My prediction was that the shooter would hit one of the cops guarding the Motgomery Co. schools today. All I've heard this morning and this weekend is schools-schools-schools.

My guess is it is Islamist terrorism. THey know the softest part of the underbelly of America--it's children. This may be part of their terrorism--and terror indeed.

"but it doesn't have a nationwide impact."
Then what's this thread and all of the coverage by the media about?
