Wanted.. list of liberal talk radio programs to freep
me ^ | me

Over the last week, I've been monitoring talk radio. While there are programs like Sean Hannity and Hugh Hewitt, these programs already have radio moderators who are squarely in the conservative GOP camp.

Given the success of yesterday's action at ABC Entertainment City, Century City in commemmoration of the arrival of Hillary Clinton in Los Angeles, shouldn't we be freeping the airwaves day and night?

A scan of major broadcast markets would suggest that talk radio can be hit with a concerted effort to dominate the airwaves during the next three weeks.

Shouldn't we be attempting to orchestrate and call (like the way Freepers called Century Plaza hotel yesterday) radio programs that accept calls on political issues?

Since so many radio programs are on the internet, if there are freepers in any area and the radio program is on the internet, we can all take turns monitoring these "hosts" and then call in and bombard the guy with our calls.

After all, that is what the liberals do to us all the time!

This is so true. Is there any nation-wide syndicated Liberal radio talk show host these days?

There are a very few, but they're only "nationwide" in that they've managed to scrape up 10 or 15 stations here and there (that are generally some of the lowest-ranked stations in their markets), maybe covering a total of 5% of the country. There isn't a single one of any importance.

Arbitron ratings...

True, but conservative callers cause more libs to listen, thus boosting Arbitron ratings.

The liberals are planning a protest March in DC on 3-15-02 with "senator" Tom Hayden involved.

Not too many people supporting this other than the 5 listed apparently. note that some of the categories are empty.

http://www.participatory-democracy.org/protest.htm
QUOTING:
Protest March 15, 2003

The facilitators of this web site are organizing a peaceful protest march to let Congress and the Bush administration know that we will not be apathetic towards the Bush Administration's policies any longer. Our goal is to gather a minimum of 50,000 citizens in front of the Capitol steps (on The National Mall) on March 15, 2003 for a rally complete with guest speakers, entertainment and politicians. We hope to accomplish this in memory of The Port Huron Statement of 1962, which was written to combat an apathetic public.

We have a network set up across the country to help facilitate the organization of this march that include political web sites and activists groups. If you are interested in helping us in this effort, or if you can volunteer your services please send an email to: Organize@participatory-democracy.org.

This information page will be updated often as we gather support under the following categories:

FEATURED SPEAKER (tentative):
Senator Tom Hayden (www.tomhayden.com) has agreed to headline our
speaker list if this rally is successfully organized. Senator Hayden is the
original co-author of The Port Huron Statement of 1962 which this rally
and Manifesto is based upon. Thank you Senator Hayden!

Guest Speakers:
Matthew W. Condon (Co-Organizer)
William Rivers Pitt (Author/Co-Organizer)
Mike Malloy (IEAmerica Radio Host/ Co-Organizer)
Peter Werbe (IEAmerica Radio Host/ Co-ORganizer)

Entertainment:
Satchel Beetwasher (Protest Music)

Politicians:

Celebrity Speakers:

Sponsor Groups:

Here in the DC AM talk radio market we have one major lefty offender left:

Charlie Warren on WMAL...AM 630, web is wmal.com. He follows Sam Donaldson for one hour in the AM, Doc Laura, Rush and Hannity and a political moderate named Chris Corr, who has a long tradition on Washington DC Radio. Viewing this line up, Charlie sticks out like a sore thumb. His guests are part of the fringe contigent, often with view points that border on hysteria. He does have one of those ultra pleasant on air voices...but occasionally you can hear him slip and his anger bubbles over...only because his listenng audience is majority right of center.

"The Port Huron Statement of 1962..."

Hayden and his dupes met in a meadow and fashioned a neo-Marxist manifesto.

Ayn Rand spent much of her life trying to get conservatives to put together a right wing document, a plan.

Her mistake was we already have one. It is The Constitution of the United States of America.

We just to enforce it.

located him...http://www.570klac.com/michaeljackson.html i don't really listen to much during the day...does this guy accept calls?

For over thirty years, Michael Jackson has been the most trusted and honored radio talk show host in Southern California. He is the "Dean of Talk Show Hosts" and, was selected by his peers in the industry nationwide as the 1999 Radio Talk Show Host of the Year. Jackson not only brings his own personal expertise and incisive commentary to his program, but his well known integrity and fairness enable him to call on leading experts and celebrities in the news to come before his microphone and field questions from listeners. Many major network journalists and newsmen around the world call Michael's program on a regular basis to get a read on the opinions of Southern Californians and this important market, testimony to the caliber of his program, his guests and his audience.

Winner of seven Emmys and four Golden Mike Awards, a small portion of Michael's guests have included every U.S. Chief Executive since President Richard Nixon, British Prime Minister Mararet Thatcher, General Colin Powell and Archbishop Desmond Tutu and nearly all of Congress. Writer/Directors Norman Lear, Mel Brooks, Carl Reiner and Aaron Spelling. Sports legends like Mickey Mantle, Hank Aaron and "Magic" Johnson. Newsmakers Walter Cronkite, Peter Jennings, Tom Brokaw and Dan Rather. And major studio heads, directors and stars like Michael Eisner, Sean Connery, Charleton Heston, Julie Andrews, Jerry Lewis, Roger Moore, Michael Caine and Mel Gibson.

Michael also has the distinction of being honored by Queen Elizabeth II with the M.B.E. - 'The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire' and by France with their Legion of Merit. You'll even find his name among the fortunate few honored with his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Ira doesn't think OJ did it. Unbelievable, but true.

I tune in the Rush replay on 1530 out of Sacramento, just so I don't have to listen to Mr. KABC. He calls himself "the Logical Liberal".

KABC's Doug McIntyre is center-right, but he rails at us when we call the dems evil. He just won't go there.

Take it easy on Ira Fistell. OK, he might be liberal on some things but he is definitely open-minded. I used to run in to him from time to time at the library in La-La Land and had a few nice chats. He doesn't put on airs or anything like that. Plus he has an encyclopedic knowledge about anything pertaining to the Civil War or much of history in general. I once discussed with him an article I was writing about the Toledo War of 1835 and he was genuinely interested in my research.

Listening to this guy out of Tampa now... he says he's "pro-union" and he's getting creamed by this guy on the phone... this commentator is weak. He's not in a major market and he's just trying to create problems.

"Take it easy on Ira Fistell"

Character matters!! I stopped taking it easy on public figures a long time ago. That's why we started getting some majorities.

I don't know what's better... ignoring this kind of irrational radio shock jock or not. He's yelling at the callers in order to evoke a response and he's not interested in actually learning.

Rush and the guys on our side actually listen to the other person and then provide thoughtful response. Shock jocks don't do that.

maybe i need to call Mr KABC...that is if he really wants a real conversation on politics and history...based on the ammo from this place, I think i could probably take him on pretty good.

The Lovell Dyett Show airs Saturdays from 9:00 PM to midnight on Boston's WBZ (1030 AM). He's a major lib and remarkable only because WBZ is a true AM clear channel that reaches 38 states and a chunk of Canada after sundown. WBZ recently shaved an hour off of the Dyett (pronounced Diet) show.

Here in the DC AM talk radio market we have one major lefty offender left:

Charlie Warren on WMAL

Charlie was very popular when he had a week-end am show talking about local activities. As you say, he has a great voice.
But then he got moved to a political talk show - and it's been shortened and moved to ever later hours. I'm not even sure when it's on now. He's certainly showed how a successful radio personality can shorten his career - become a Liberal political commentator!

I just heard freeper doug in upland on KABC... looks like he was making an attempt at challenging the DNC Press Secretary (who was spouting off about the concerns related to the violent DNC imagery of our President used on their website).
