Another broad-daylight shooting just occurred, this time in Fredericksburg, VA, just off I-95. It's not even on the news yet.
About an hour's drive south of where the Montgomery County shootings happened, a woman was shot in the parking lot of a Michaels fabric store. My wife was in the store at the time. The victim had left the store and carried her purchases to her minivan. She unlocked the minivan and was loading her stuff into it when she was shot. No sign of the shooter.
No one else was injured.
The woman was taken away in an ambulance, condition unknown. Her license plate (which I'm not going to post) indicated that she had several children.

If they wanted to create terror, they are right on track. Only partly.
If they start making normal people targets, people will begin carrying, laws or no laws.

I just heard a report on this VA shooting on WMAL. The newsreader mentioned the similarity to the MD shootings.
To: BlessingInDisguise
Just said something about the shooting on WMAL, the national news said Fredricksburg, Maryland.

Now on ABC nationwide news at top of the hour.

I think the shooters are just moving from place to place .....when they see a shoot they take it. I bet the craft store means nothing here....
Large parking lots mean good cover... who notices a van in a store parking lot .....stores get delieveries all the time.

"It seems to me that the shooter is trying to pick out people who are doing daily, somewhat domestic tasks. Buying crafts, getting gas, mowing the lawn. That is in stark contrast to a shooter we had in my county about a year ago who attacked randomly, albeit over a period of months, usually targeting, although not exclusely, people who were getting out of their cars and going to work. It may be too early to tell, however. IOW, targeted to terrorize Americans as they go about their daily routines outside of work." I couldn't agree more! This shooter(s) is obviously out to terrorize other people. Which I believe is his main goal, rather than just killing people.

Michael, this still isn't hitting the main stream news. What do you think? Is an hour delay unusual? Or is there a substantial chance this shooting is unconnected?
To: Dog
Yep, that is exactly what is going on.

If they start making normal people targets, people will begin carrying, laws or no laws. I completely concur. I wouldn't break the laws myself, of course.

WMAL: Woman was loading packages into her car when shot in the back. Firing from a distance. No word on her condition. Police not saying if there is any connection.

Your statement about there not being any weapons in Va is wrong. I live in Fredericksburg. ALL of my neighbors own weapons as they are either in the DEA, FBI, or the USMC, or just happen to enjoy them. The gun laws here are conducive and as about as respectful of ownership as any in the country.

Go to the library for anonymous surfing, or use a disposable wireless card in a laptop. Not all crooks are brilliant. If they weren't stupid, they would hardly ever get caught!

Van Zandt also didn't think the LAX shooting was terror-related. I wish Fox would get rid of him and hire Steve Emerson. I'd be interested to know Emerson's thoughts on this.
To: Dog
But why would they pick a Michael's store twice? Some kind of grudge?

Or is there a substantial chance this shooting is unconnected? It's a guess on my part, but I'd say that the nets, at least, seem to think it's not connected. Then again, the local cops could be putting the kybosh on it as well. Your guess is as good as mine.

"Surfing leaves footprints."
The only identifying footprints it leaves are on the machine of the surfer (unless they provide more personal information.)

I hope somebody is looking for recent short sales of their stock....

Michael's also hits closer to home for most people than say, an airplane crash. Moms will understand that they are targets too, not just wealthy corporate businessmen flying around the world.
