The odds in favor of Republican Rep. Greg Ganske unseating Democratic Sen. Tom Harkin in Iowa may be improving, as the result of an unfolding scandal and purported cover-up involving the Harkin campaign.
"And like most political disasters, the cover-up is becoming more important than the original transgression," said Kayne Robinson, former Iowa Republican Party chairman.

Harkin saying, "Mistakes were made," in the debate, is all anyone needs to hear to know Harkin was in on it.

So I guess we'll be hearing Harkins spewing "When did we become such an unforgiving people" pretty soon. Do the dems have someone waiting in the wings to take over the ballot position?

I will vote for Ganske because of the importance of Senate control. But let me tell you, the guy is a horrible candidate. If the Republicans were guaranteed a majority with out him, I wouldn't even consider voting for him.

State Rep. Chuck Larson, who is also the Iowa Republican Party chairman, says that while campaign dirty tricks may not shock voters in states with large urban populations, Iowa voters tend to take cheating seriously, especially if laws are broken in the process. Unlike, say, SUPREME COURT JUSTICES in New Jersey who take an oath to uphold the law (only when the law isn't inconvenient to Democrats)?

1. It never happened.
2. Mistakes were made.
3. It's time to move on.

Do it for us. Harkin is scum, get him out.
To: Deb
Absolutely!
To: kattracks
What did Senator Harkin know, and when did he know it?
To: kattracks
Once again it is a case of a liberal Democrat getting caught red-handed.
I think the main reason liberals are against profiling is the fact that if we successfully profile them, their charade is over.
