The local papers say that they are going to extend route 18 down Metlars to Hoes Lane. The ultimate goal is to link 18 to 287 via that route. The problem is that the state isn't telling Piscataway exactly how they are going to link the two and, until they figure it out, 18 will just sorta dump its traffic right into Piscataway. Given that the Piscataway politicians are part of the Democrat machine, Piscataway residents should take it out on their town council but they are knee-jerk Dems and won't.
