I agree and people complain about the "administration" not telling everything they know. If they told, people would start to panic and "sources" could be placed in danger. I guess I'm just good at reading between the lines.

Lessee. These are all "blue" areas. Let me think on this one.

Hey, I actually live in one of those rat towns!

FDR and Churchill had the "Ultra" and "Magic" German and Jap codes broken, but had to bite their lips to protect those sources which shortened WW2 by years.

Meanwhile, we have had West Nile behaving in ways West Nile never did before, and getting more lethal as it goes, seemingly. Only two explanations for that: a virus that mutates rapidly, or different strains being tested out, which makes sense because the different viral behaviours are being observed in different places and seemingly unconnected. The newest is that the virus now seems capable of not only spreading by mosquito, but is also inhabiting certain flies.

Yup, the crows are all dead apparently, where I live in Illinois. So are the blue jays, I've just found out. Now it's been found in squirrels and also dogs they say are susceptible. There was another article today about how it's in the duck population, not to mention all the horses that are coming down with it.

It's been causing paralysis in some humans in the south. There's a lot we haven't been told about this, possibly because there's a lot the CDC doesn't even know yet actually.

I think that the Bush team is a bit closer to my way of thinking, which is that Baghdad would be the second target after Mecca.

Oh, I don't know. I'm thinking Baghdad might just go first.

It's like DEFCONs. 1 is the highest, 5 is the lowest. I'd go with a greenish yellow myself.

That MAD thinking is sooooo 9/10/01. Now we know that terrorists will no longer let us live. If they show force, it is only to paralyse us into inaction while they complete their plans. Once they show force, the victims are as good as dead. The only question is whether they will die on their feet or on their knees.

It took the gallant heros on Flight 93 about five minutes to reach this conclusion. I amazed some people on this thread still haven't figured it out after more than a year.

The al Qaeda training videos do not show scenarios where the hostages are released after negotiations and concessions. The mechanism is to sieze local power and then execute. If Iraq threatened us with a nuke, it would be the same thing on a grander scale.

If Iraq were to place a nuke in a city, then that city is as good as gone. Now what are you going to do?

In the immortal words of Peter Jennings, "Luttuce Roll!"
