WTH? I'm curious why anybody would think this is the business of the U.S. or the U.N. For that matter, I curious why anybody would think that *anything* is the business of the U.N.

WTF is up with this?

They are just upset that Israel did not file the environmental impact survey before doing the urban renewal project in Ramalah.

The US government is no friend of Israel. This proves it. It's sickening.

A policy based on forcing the other side to capitulate is a bankrupt policy Probably meant in the Palestine context. Certainly the Iraq context is different. Isn't it?

Now that they've torn down Arafat's compound, can the Israelis do the UN building next?

Why this resolution? Two words: Colin Powell.
To: RCW2001
It demanded the complete cessation by all sides of "all acts of violence, including all acts of terror" and asked the Palestinian Authority to bring to justice those responsible for "terrorist acts." The UN has repeated this same sentence for how many years now? I've heard it at least a thousand times.

I'm really disappointed with the U.S government's decision to reward PLO terror and Arafart's leadership. This move to condemn and isolate Israel will have the opposite effect of what the world hopes; it will speed up the expulsion of Arafart and the Hamas and Islamic Jihad leaders. Until now Israel had refrained from it because Israel would take a beating in world opinion, but since Israel is already paying a price of total political isolation now, it stands to reason an expulsion decision today would not make matters worse and might even improve them. Regardless of what the U.N or the U.S do or do not do, the PLO/Hamas as histoire.

This is idiotic.
We deny the Israelis the right of self-preservation while kowtowing to the Islamists.

"The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is not going to be resolved by military might alone, or by violent means of any kind," Annan told the council. This has to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard spoken, and they keep saying this over and over. Give Israel free rein get the heck out of the way, and they can have this issue settled in less than a week, by violent means.

Now that Arafat is trapped in his outhouse, Please stop destroying his buildings! We do not want to see his ugly A$$ hanging in the breeze...

So I guess we are happy now......we asked for a resolution that included condemnation of terror acts against Israel and the UN conveniently left that little part out and only condemned Israel.
