Sounds rather empty to me, Bush sends a letter thanking the Serbs for their support on fighting terrorism but have no problem allowing Albanian terrorists to murder and terrorize Serbs in Kosovo. So what is camp Bondsteel for anyway?

The term "terrorism" is defined by those who get terrorized, the US seems to think that Isreal and the US can only be "victims" of terrorism. For everyone else, they're "freedom fighters".

Please, if you have an opportunity to speak with Serbs living in Yugoslavia, please let them know that there were sizable number of people who saw through Clinton and Blair and knew the NATO attacks on Yugoslavia were unjust.

We had just tried to impeach and remove Clinton from office and were unsuccessful.  We couldn't stop the bombing.

Me saying I'm sorry doesn't mean much but we will do our best to ensure history tells the truth.

In a letter to Yugoslav President Vojislav Kostunica, Bush expressed gratitude for Yugoslavia's decision to "ally itself with the cause of tolerance and understanding."...."The United States was directly attacked last Sept. 11, but terrorism darkens the prospects of all people to live in peace, freedom and prosperity," Bush said. "With perseverance and courage, I am certain that we together will prevail against this threat."

Yeah. We Americans were attacked in a dramatic and horrible way by islamic terrorists on 9/11/01, but Yugoslavia was attacked by KLA/al Qaeda terrorists and by islamic supremacists/separatists (In Bosnia) allied with the SAME terrorists who attacked us! And under the rubiric of promoting "the cause of tolerance and understanding", the clintonites fully backed the supremacist and terrorist attack on Yugoslavia!!!! And the current US administration continues to back muslim "Bosnia", the terrorist Shiptar regime in Kosovo and their invasion of FYR Macedonia, as well as that disgraceful "court" in the Hague!!!!

The fight against islamic terrorism means backing ALL the international islamic jihad's targets--America, Israel, India, Russia, Serbia/Yugoslavia, and others!!!! It means reversing the wrongheaded clintonite/Third Way policy of taking territory away from Yugoslavia, and giving it to muslims! And it means abolishing the kangaroo "court" in the Hague, and trying the traitorous Third Way muslim collaborators in legitimate courts instead!!!!

We don't hate the US, we are just disappointed that a nation who is based on the notion of freedom completely did a 180 on freedom in the name of power projection. The Serbs are a resiliant people, and they have a tendency not to forget but know who the real enemy is and believe me, in the end the Serbs won't let America hang out to dry.

America has to start refocusing on what America is about, go back and reread the Constitution and remember what America is suppose to be, not the fantasy empire that she portrays herself to be now. Pax Romana - Pax Americana, sometimes the similarities are striking.

We as a species are not ready nor sophisticated enough to live under a one-word governemnt, but these pseudo-intellectual buffoons think we can. Milo could have made some pretty slick political moves with the West when he had the chance, but blew it, but then again, bowing to an empire has never been the Serbian way.

Trust me on this. The Serbian people HATE us and always will for what we did there and to be honest, they are right to hate us. Man, did we ever screw up in Yugoslavia.

Yes and no. The local Serbian Orthodox Church in my area ran a service on 9/11, with a liturgy (for the commemoraiton of the beheading of John the Baptist, the Julian calendar date of which falls on the Gregorian 9/11), followed by a memorial service for the victims of 9/11!!!! (And it was a real Othodox Parastos--NOT one of the bullsh!t 9/11 "services" that were designed to whitewash islam.)

Serbian Americans are some of the finest Americans I know! And the majority of them have family and other connections back in Yugoslavia. So many Serbs in the homeland know about the contradictions in American society, including about those Americans who are pro-Serbian and anti-clinton/Third Way/ NWO!

This is just window dressing, meanwhile in Washington the hypocrisy continues:

B92 WASHINGTON -- Monday 16 September 2002 -- Following the UN General Assembly, Yugoslav Foreign Minister arrived in Washington to discuss US and Yugoslav relations. The House of representatives and the Senate have drafted a law suspending aid approved to Serbia amounting to 115 million US dollars in the new fiscal year. It is also withdrawing its backing for Yugoslavia to join the IMF, World Bank and other international financial institutions. Svilanovic will try to prevent the passage of this law in talks with US administration and Congress representatives. The main condition for normalisation between the two countries is for the Belgrade authorities to establish immediate and full cooperation with the Hague Tribunal. Svilanovic has already discussed the issue of Belgrade's cooperation with The Hague with the US ambassador for war crimes Richard Prosper in New York. Prior to his talks in Washington, Svilanovic said that relations between Belgrade and The Hague "are an extremely important and challenging topic" and something that the new Serbian authorities immediately "addressed after the toppling of the Milosevic regime". "Some of the indictees had been transferred to the Hague, and we also adopted the new law on cooperation with the Tribunal." Said Svilanovic. "Much has been done, concerning the suspects, evidence, access to the archives, witnesses." "However, what is still a main obstacle between Yugoslavia and the US are the other war crime suspects accused of atrocities in Srebrenica and Vukovar. We are limited with what we can do with these suspects", said Svilanovic.

We were their September 11th only we continue to insult them to this day

This says it all, I just wish that other Americans would understand this as well. Too many Americans are more content with Jerry Springer and Dr. Phil to give a damn about another country or give a damn what we do to other countries for that matter. Sometimes I do feel America is the next Sodom.

Right on. Although coupled with report bellow, there might be, there just might be some light shed (mirage?):

Not enough people returning says Montgomery | 14:29 | Beta

NIS -- Friday - US Ambassador to Yugoslavia William Montgomery said today that it is "completely unacceptable that a very small number of Serbs have returned to Kosovo."
"We are working together with all the officials. There is no need for any confrontation, but it must all be done slowly and persistently", said Montgomery, referring to mass return of Serbs to Kosovo due tomorrow.
He used Bosnia as an example where nobody returned for two years after the war, "but if we look (at Bosnia) now, we will see that some 100 000 people have returned, including several thousands Serbs", said the US Ambassador.
He said the US Government's stance is for the return of all refugees and displaced people to Bosnia, Croatia even to Kosovo.
"There won't be any true stability in the region without the returns", said Montgomery.

Also, I'm affraid Dj. is not using the opportunity with his visit in NY to help Serbia, rather looking to support himself in upcoming elections:

Trade law not certain says Djindjic | 11:16 | B92

WASHINGTON -- Friday – During the Washington leg of his US trip, Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic has told the Voice of America that he’s concerned that not all is looking good regarding the normalization of trade relations with the US.
"There are some congressmen who have called for the trade law with Yugoslavia be postponed because of worrying statements issued by presidential candidates," said Djindjic.
Djindjic is referring to statements made last week by President Vojislav Kostunica saying that Serbia and The Republic of Srpska are temporarily separated. Kostunica responded last week saying his comments were taken out of context and he was speaking metaphorically about the people’s views of borders.
"We have tried to persuade these people that this is just a misunderstanding, that there are no ill intentions, and I hope we will get a normal trade status with America," said Djindjic.
On a positive note, the Serbian delegation enjoyed a working lunch yesterday with the representatives of some 60 American investment companies.
Asked what needs to be done before investors will enter the economy, Djindjic replied that decisiveness in carrying out reforms. These include, introduction of world norms into trade legislation, and reforms in the courts, police and customs. "These reforms are the government’s priorities," said Djindjic.

Not true. Bitter but they don't hate us. Goes to show you what good people they are, forgiving Orthodox Christians. My Mom is in Belgrade as I write this. I housed an international student after the bombing....they still look to America as a land of opportunity, even if our foreign policies are skewed and we chose the wrong side to ally with.

LIFT ALL SANCTIONS, PRESIDENT BUSH!

Excellent point FireWall. I also find intriguing the difference in the way congressional democrats approach the war with Iraq and way they approached the Kosovo War.

With Kosovo, the democrats were thirsty for blood. For Tom Dascle, Madeleine Albright and company, no declaration of war was necessary!! The president can act without authorization!! Nato can be an aggressor and violate international law if the cause is just!!! The U.S. is obligated to play world cop to stop genocide against oppressed peoples (a genocide that began after the bombs fell, and is believed to have stopped at a maximum of 3,000 victims, most of whom were combatants, presumably "unlawful combatants" under Yugoslaw law)!! Bomb the miscreants into submission, destroy their power grid, water treatment system and civilian bridges. If a few orphanages and hospitals are hit, too bad. Should typhus and cholera become endemic, such is the price of justice. The bad man Slobo must be stopped at any cost.

Now, when the death toll is millions of Iraqs, Kurds, Kuwaitis and Iranians, intelligence has strong evidence that Iraq is stockpiling weapons of mass destruction and has ties with terrorist groups that would like nothing more than to use them to kill as many Americans and Israelis as possible, the democrats dither.

We must not act without U.N. Security Council approval, they say, an event they know is never forthcoming. The Iraqis don't threaten the U.S., they blather, and even if they do we can't strike pre-emptively: it would violate INTERNATIONAL LAW! Consider the children of Baghdad!! Yada, yada, yada.

I'm not sure that they aren't right about Iraq. Nonetheless, the level of hypocrisy is stunning, an achievement even for the likes of Kerry, Daschle Wellstone, et al.

You have to remeber, our biased media has been very complicit in perpetuating the "bad Serbs" myth that followed in tow to the Democratic "hootin' and hollerin'" over human rights. Clinton proved that Goebbels was a small time propogandist compared to the exPOTUS42's tenacious evil. His manipulation of the media and the public is absoluely stunning, what is more stunning is how many individuals buy into the nonsense.

One more tidbit, the US is now worried that Osama and friends will be employing Chechens to hijack US airplanes, and why is it that we are puting pressure on the Russians again?
