"The only thing that truly surprises me is that Erskine Bowles would associate himself with a guy like this."
The only thing that surprises me is that anyone would be truly surprised that a former Clinton Chief of Staff would associate himself with a guy like this.

"Republicans starve children, kill old folks, poison the air and water".
Yeah, that's the familiar rap. And if Republicans don't get off their duffs, this will be the DNC's mantra all over again, in races all over the country.
This article sounds as if Bowles pulled the campaign ad because The Observor kicked up a fuss, not because Elizabeth Dole's campaign demanded it. Republicans still don't understand the importance of responding to lies immediately...dollars to doughnuts the ad would still be running if it hadn't involved the newspaper's own reputation.

It comes as no surprise that Erskine Bowles would lie. It's something his mentor taught him.

In 1995, the St. Petersburg Times called Falmlen "an admitted liar" for his role in the campaign scams but Falmlen preferred to be known as someone who conveyed "purposeful misstatements."
Clinton draws these people like a turd draws flies.

One thing I have not heard yet from candidate Dole is her position on privatizing social security. Anyone know?
Probably not since she has stated very few of her positions. In fact, the only firm position i have heard her take on anything is she wants people drug tested before they can get a drivers license!

I had not heard of this man until I read about him in a Washington Newspaper Monday.
I live in North Carolina and I hope the news gets out about this character. I do hope he IS NOT in our state.
If this news report is true, then it tells us how desperate Erskine Bowles is.
I have read a news article that reported Scott Falmlen is now in North Carolina running the Democrat Party and
doing his best to help Erskine Bowles. The article went on to read, I wanted to make sure you know a bit
about his background so you can be prepared for some of the most
underhanded
and intentionally misleading campaigning you've ever seen.
"Falmlen is responsible for setting up ? and then lying about ?
thousands of phone calls to senior citizens during the 1994 gubernatorial
election here in Florida. The callers told seniors that Jeb Bush opposed
Medicare and wanted to abolish Social Security ? assertions that were
intentionally and blatantly false. Another set of calls, made by callers
from
an organization which didn't exist, attacked Jeb for being a tax cheat, of
all things ?
He persisted in his denials until he was made to appear before the Senate
Executive Business, Ethics and Election Committee's hearings into the
calls.
He finally admitted that his denial had been a 'purposeful misstatement.'

same thing has happened in Indiana with Chris Chocola and some democrat chick. the stations refused to run her ads b/c they contained absurd lies about gutting social security.
