I have to ask the question: given our heightened state of alert, and even more so, the fact that airline passengers will no longer take any s___ from knife-wielding or box-cutter-holding ragheads, are the terrorists that stupid to think they can get away with another airline incident?

I wonder if that's what happened with the 3 or 4 that locked themselves in the privy on the NW flight to Las Vegas today. Maybe they chickend out...

Good point. When I flew back from LA to Houston three weeks ago the stewardess yelled "STOP" really loud. We were all ready to jump up and jump on someone, but she said the food delivery man had opened the door into the area where she was standing. It hurt and she screamed. She said those doors are heavy and she feared being crushed. If it had been a terrorist or hijacker, there would have been a herd of passengers on him like white on rice. She later came back and explained to passengers that she tried to motion to him through the window and he didn't look up or see her. So she screamed. It was blood curdling. We all told her that 9/11 came instantly to our minds. We were relieved that it was not a hijacking.
