I'd much rather trust my freedom to Ashcroft, Bush, Cheney and company than to the sort of folks who decry that some people must be inconvenienced for the good of the many instead of the other way around. They don't seem to understand that THEY are a large part of the problem...

I personally don't trust MY freedom to anyone but myself.
I don't trust Bush, Ashcroft, et al, any more than I did Clinton, Clinton, Reno etc..

I'll "trust" the Federal government when it's back under the control of the States and the People, and not until then.
And, even That Trust will be "qualified", and with reservations.

Freedoms not protected for everyone are not held by anyone.

I would hope that free citizens would take more responsibility for thinking through and setting policy than trusting to the professional politicians as they declare a "War on Terrorism."

Wow, and I suppose you didn't think the Clintonistas were pathetic when they trusted them blindly?

Sir/Madam there is a HUGE difference between the USA and Dubya. One deserves unyeilding support, and the other is a Politician.

At least under Ashcroft the alleged criminals are detained and will eventually have due process. Under Reno's Raiders, division of the Branch Clintonians, armed assults by jack booted black uniforms killed over a hundred people in Waco, then covered up and derailed the investigation because key witnesses against the government met early demises from heart attacks, strokes, and plane crashes. And storm troopers break down doors and overwhelm citizens to remove children from immigrating. Now how is that for an efficient law enforcement policy?

Oh and I forgot how many terrorists were allowed to enter America during that time because the DOJ and Reno looked the other way.

I may not agree with everything Ashcroft has sanctioned, but at least he is going for the real suspects with real actions.

You have my condolences, and I really hope that your doctor was mistaken when he told you that you wouldn't live to see the next election.

Yes, THEY don't understand that the freedom our soldiers have historically fought to defend has now become outdated.

THEY don't understand that it's perfectly alright to have a dictator, as long as the dictator is a Republican.

No. You, and sheep like you are the problem.

And when the next Clinton is President and has her crooked mad-feminista cabinet in office, and her crooked attorney general to divert any investigations, and her crooked FBI & Homeland security stooges to enforce her will on the sheeple, what will you think of the law then? Will you trust your freedom, your life, the lives of your wife and children to such creatures? What will you do when they come to confiscate your guns, or your SUV, or your property?

I trust Cheney and Rumsfeld. I don't trust Bush and sure as hell don't trust Ridge or Ashcroft.

I agree with you....I would add that having not read further down in this thread, I am certain there are a grip of Losertarians that completely agree with the Liberal nitwit professor.
