Ann Coulter Gets Fired...........Again

On a late summer morning almost a year ago, all of us -- Republicans, Democrats and everyone else -- witnessed what hate is capable of.

The people who bombed us live under an extremely oppressive government. Ann, of course, opposes tyranny. If the sort of freedom that Ann Coulter advocates were the norm all over the world, I suspect there would be very little terrorism. Mark the terrorist countries on a map and you will see oppressive governments with little freedom. The editor could not be more wrong. Ann Coulter is the cure for terrorism, not the cause. Someone should send the editor a copy of Patrick Henry's famous speech in support of the American Revolution. That would probably be far too hateful to be published today. Does anyone really understand the difference between tyranny and freedom anymore?

I'm with you about taking Ann in small doses simply for the fact that it grates on me to read insult after insult of the left. She isn't telling me much I don't already know when she does this. It's just not the way I chose to communicate my dislike of the leftist viewpoint.

She is flippant, rude, unoriginal, and she wouldn't get away with it (i.e. be employed), if a certain segment of the population didn't find her attractive. She offers nothing to the debate. I will read Krauthammer, Cal Thomas, George Will, thank you very much. Whenever Ann is on tv, I flip the station.

Im with you. I cant even take Ann in sporadic episodes. She so lacks confidence in her argument that she continuously feels the need to belittle others withwhom she disagrees. If Ann wasnt blonde, thin, and somewhat attractive to guys who arent getting any, she wouldnt be noticed.

My comments did not have to do with the article at hand as you can see this thread has become another referendum on Ann herself. The comments I responded to were rebukes of posters who weren't big fans of Ann.

As far as what the editor wrote, he can hire and fire who he pleases, why he chose to write this scribe is beyond me.

The reason we never seem to win is that we are never really in the fight. Now, we are to some extent, and that is why the liberals hate Ann so much.

Do you really think we need more like Ann? Frankly I question that. Most conservatives minds are made up as are most liberals. Neither side is going to change. That leaves the dredded independents. What do independents hate more than anything? Politicians yelling at each other, negative advertising, vicious attacks. That doesnt wash with them so who is Ann really reaching? You are right on. It's not a style of writing I particular care for but I *know* that it bugs the heck out of liberals and she is a voice for republicans that cannot speak out exactly like her. She speaks for republicans who need to keep things a bit more diplomatic. She is a voice that speaks clearly and in terms the masses can understand as she speaks out against liberals. Good for her but I can't have a steady diet of her writing.
