A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 9/2/01

President Bush celebrated Labor Day in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania today as he spoke to members of the Carpenter's Union and attended a picnic. In his speech, the President focused on thanking American workers and on strengthening the country through compassion. He also used the occasion to stress the need for a cabinet-level department of homeland defense. Bush also toured the Carpenters Joint Apprenticeship Center on Neville Island. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Thanks....I thought maybe it was only the liberal newspapers that had a 'blackout' on these great pictures!

Yes, it is truly amazing that with all their attempts to smear him; real Americans see him as a dedicated man of integrity who is working very hard for our nation.

Mark McKinnon? And you're right that
they're anything but pro-Bush! As Dick
Cheney might say, "BIG TIME!"

Ya know-I believe they should use this picture on brochures the GOP sends out for campaign donations. It tells the GW story as warmly as any I have seen...except for maybe GW with the ol fireman at the WTC site a few days after the attack, and the pics of GW with the handicapped, short people and most especially, holding the head of a search and rescue dog at the WTC site. Hmmm...I guess maybe there are more than a treasure trove to choose from, but this one, those faces, the little flag, the expression on GW that brings tears to my eyes.....has got it all.

A pair of sharp eyes and a good memory between the two of you!

There was a good (well, fair) shot of his Presidential Belt Buckle:

that I scanned in from the cover of Vanity Fair:

Well, our small town (or actually small city) newspaper gets all its info from AP, so they just regurgitate whatever the liberals spew forth from Washington.

It's either negative, or nothing at all. It really does make me sick.

That's why I LOVE the Daily Dose!!! It keeps me sane!!

Thanks Texans for your respective reviews of the "Texas Monthly!" I will probably pass on the subscription.

By-the-by, as I mentioned last evening, I invite all of you to visit the Crawford website and sign the guest book (particularly those of you who enjoyed some Crawford 'hospitality' after the counter-freep last weekend!): http://www.crawfordtx.com . Some liberal jerks have discovered this charming website and have been reeking their usual havoc!

Night all!

fellow freepers were doing a good a job of trashing this President

I think about this on occasion. Libs will accept anything a Dem does, without question (they still claim that welfare reform was clintoon's idea!). But conservatives insist that a GOPer is wrong when he or she disagrees with them on any point.
We mostly think we are Conservatives, but we don't all agree on every point. So who gets to decide on what a Conservative should think?

It's so much easier being Liberal - anything you say is ok. If you're Conservative, anything you say is anathema to one or another.

Good point you make about them scraping the bottom of the barrel!

Btw, your remark about snakes lawyers reminded me of another of the zingers in Bush's speech today. Talking about the terrorism insurance bill he said .....

There's been over $8 billion worth of projects that have been delayed because they can't get insurance. That means 300,000 workers aren't working. You see, if we want to do something to make sure the job base continues, Congress needs to get moving on a terrorism insurance bill. (Applause.)

And this bill has got to be good for hard-hats, not lawyers.

The audience really loved that one ..... hehe!

I know exactly what you mean, every single time I visit this thread and marvel at the schedule of our President, I wonder Why in the he-- these pictures aren't ever to be found in print, or even on the tube.

I guess I was SO SICKENED by the constant barrage of photos of klinton-everyday, EVERY SINGLE DAD BURNED DAY, when he was president. I do think the print media ignores the efforts this President puts forth to touch people in our nation....their mistake. Because one by one, just as our President in the quote today says lives and hearts can be changed, GW, our President, is capturing the hearts of folks across this nation. One day....the liberal press is going to be wondering where their readership has fled to...

And we are watching...every night! I'm so proud of our President and as I look at these special pictures, it just erases all of the liberal junk I've heard during the day.

I understand your disgust; I feel the same way! However, I have noticed that most of the negativity comes from a handful of either hopeless/hapless Libertarians or strict Constitutionalists -- we must remember that both groups are a minority on this website (albeit a relentlessly obnoxious and borish minority).

I invite you to purchase and read David Horowitz's new book, "How to Beat a Democrat" -- referenced/linked by Water Dragon earlier on this thread. He has some great things to say about "Gold Star" Republicans!

OK, now I'm really going to bed!

I like these, these pictures look a lot like them! I saw an article in our local paper 3-4 months ago. A very nice article, with something to do with Bush being like a cowboy hero, or an Old-West sheriff. There was a pencil or charcoal drawing, It may have been done by the author. And it wasn't a caricature. It looked like a man dressed in an old western style, with boots, a sheriff's star, and a cowboy hat; kind of like Marshall Matt Dillon. But the face on the man was G. Bush's. It looked like he was striding down a street with a serious, purposeful, look on his face.

It really looked like him, and was very flattering, not like a cartoon. If I could ever find it, I'll try to scan it, and post it. If not, I'll provide a link, and see if someone else can.
