Fascinating article but just because there were two holes doesn't mean that two guys went to the bathroom at the same time. Even if they did that wouldn't be very secure. If they're both sitting and attending to business couldn't someone could sneak up on them?
They could be facing in opposite directions as they do their business so as to watch over a greater area.
