Alas, we were greatly outnumbered. There were hundreds of anti-Bush protesters. We numbered about 15. There were so many people handing out Communist literature, I was in shock. It seemed everyone with a "cause" was out to complain and blame Bush. The ignorance of college students never fails to amaze me.
As I approached the crowd, I asked one of the many police officers if there were any pro-Bush or Simon people in the crowd.....he told me they were probably home feeding their family breakfast. ;^)

Hey, you asked a question; I simply gave you a plausible answer.
Don't shoot the messenger.
Not everyone is convinced that getting in a Lefty's face makes one iota of difference in the scheme of things.
They were saying something, and you were saying something else. Whoop-ti-doo.
Don't get me wrong: If this floats your boat, to believe that you're making a difference by holding up a sign on a street-corner in response to the signs-on-street-corners that others are holding up, then GO FOR IT!

I've crossed paths with that looney before... LA City Council meetings come to mind. He's energetic, but confused.

Naah, I just don't have the physique to go around in a T-shirt.
There's a fine line between "fat" and "fat slob." :)

Are you saying that my report was too Twinkie? LOL!
That woman getting in your face afterwards was phenomenal, too. She wanted to start something desperately. I would've quoted her, too, but I could barely understand two words in a row. She was going off!

BlondeMale: Yeah, and now you and Bush are pumping all that oil and spraying it in the air and causing all these earthquakes. What better to do on a saturday night than to pump oil from the ground and spray it into the air. Its even more exciting when you light it. Causes earthquakes, you know.

It makes a big difference. Although this rally was not typical in that we were swallowed up by the left, generally we can get several interviews with local reporters/TV/radio and they will generally mention that opposition protestors were in attendance, not to mention tossing in a picture. As opposed to NO opposition, this can make subtle yet defineable differences in the way readers (read- voters) perceive and remember what happened.

Thanks for the ping. AnnaZ, one Freeper can make all the difference. You guys were so great. Probably many of the public school/TV-weaned folks never have an opportunity to hear the "other side." It is important to get out and say "NO" to the spoiled kids....especially now.
"No justice, no peace!"
"Will of the People is to defend the USA!"
"Visualize whirled peas!" Ping to you. (^:

It

But the Yankee curmudgeon is right behind ya.

At one point I came to the realization that all it would take was for one spark to insite this crowd, and a maylee would ensue, our group being the target of their animosity.Always a consideration. Maybe some practical retreat tactics should be considered when planning events.
You folks be safe.
DO...Being the slightly anachronistic type myself I tend to like melees. Thus a partial explanation of my limited event attendance. I think I'd be hard pressed for self control at times.

Those leftists just say the kookiest things.
No kidding. I can't believe all of those "peace" signs. Talk about naive, simplistic, three-year old thinking...

Nice meeting you today. I just got back from a long hike with my very un-pc pitbull. I had to clear my head from all the morning nonsense. The site and sound of so many mis-educated youths was disturbing. Maybe once they are out of college....they will learn something.
Many of us conservatives used to be liberals in out youth....I am guilty of being a member of P.E.T.A. and helping to found "Virginians Against Cruelty to Animals". We did wonderful things like picket restaurants that served veal and protest furriers. I never broke into research labs or threw paint on anyone, but I was a "screaming vegetarian liberal".
My how views change after you are in the real world.
