He was later released without being charged. I guess this is normal behavior for the French.

He had a captive audience.

Imagine Girard Depardieu (sp?) running butt-nekked at you screaming "I surrender! I surrender!"
To: Destro
good thing they landed in Belgium. The French would have surrendered to him!
To: Destro
All I saw was this big DI## IN his hand and him screaming i"ll use it. So I pulled out my box cutter and he returned to his seat.

Released without being charged -- sounds typical for a European country. Had he actually killed somebody he might have done even better.

The man, a French national of Tunisian origin was removed from the plane and arrested by police. He was later released without being charged. What!!!!!!!!What! is with these French SOBs. This guy needs to be put under the jail and not released with no charges.
Sheeeeeesh!
To: Destro
One wonders if his boyfriend was flying the plane.
To: Destro
Having been to Oslo, I can understand his lack of willingness to go there.
Next time, however, bloke: don't board the plane!

Why would someone want to enter a small enclosed space with two or three Frenchmen in it?

The man, a French national of Tunisian origin was removed from the plane and arrested by police. He was later released without being charged, and offered a job as an airport security guard in the United States.

[after a naked passenger tried to storm the cockpit]
Naked? I didn't know the French had adopted current US airport security measures.
