"Slutty" behavior is good for the species. That's the conclusion of a new wave of research on the evolutionary drives behind sexuality and parenting.
Women everywhere have been selflessly engaging in trysts outside of matrimony for a good long time and for excellent reasons. Anthropologists say female promiscuity binds communities closer together and improves the gene pool.

So basically we can be promiscuous and be "progressive" like people in the Amazon who live in mud huts. Or we can be "regressive" and monogamous and live in modern industrial societies.
Hmm.

High infidelity, remarriage and divorce rates may have less to do with modernity than with our collective sexual past. These people will apparently do or say anything to forward their agenda. Our entire morals structure should somehow be based on what a tribe does in Brazil? Goodness forbid they have to do with the laxation of morality in our society. Do what makes you feel good is more important today than do what you know is right. Wonder if there's been a study of the past 200 years comparing morality changes and church attendance.

Well, gee, how wonderful to chose a sexual morality that leaves one's society running naked through the jungle in stone age conditions, isn't it? How uplifting. Great reccommendation. I notice there are no pics of these delighted canela women.
Is this for real, even?

"It begins to crop up in a lot of places," says Beckerman, who has reviewed dozens of reports on tribes from South America, New Guinea, Polynesia and India...OK lets see, a few remote tribes versus the monogamy present in the entire western world. Hmmm ... which system seems to work better I wonder......

So tiresome. When defending lesbians, it is important to say that all the evidence indicates that Fathers are not needed.
However ... when attempting the defend heterosexual promiscuity we say:
a child could, and ideally ought to, have more than one father
The left is incapable of rational thought.

So Sally, we should all strive to be heathens? Can you spell venereal disease?!?

San Fransisco Chronicle or the Bogus News Network? Or are they one in the same? We report, you decide.

Women said they'd like maybe up to five partners in a lifetime. Men in various surveys ranged from 18 up to 1,000. LOL! If men desire only 18-1000 partners in a lifetime, then why do Repukie pols like Bobdole, Newtie, Watermelon Dan, and "Hank" Hyde have so many more than the average? Inquiring minds like MurryMom would like to know.

Secondly, why don't you ask Weird Bill first. I'm sure the price of it won't be too steep - what's a bit of fellatio between liberals?

>>More than 20 tribal societies accept the principle that a child could, and ideally ought to, have more than one father<<
And, if you want to live the way they do, this is the perfect way to make it happen.

These people will apparently do or say anything to forward their agenda.
The article looks more like an explanation than a proposal. I don't see it advocating any particular sexual lifestyle.
