Black bear kills baby girl at vacation colony in N.Y.

A black bear snatched a 5-month-old girl from a stroller at an upstate New York bungalow colony yesterday afternoon and killed the baby while trying to drag her back into the woods from which the animal had just emerged, authorities said.

Do you think this tragedy will chnage the minds of the animal rights fanatics in New Jeresy about a bear hunt?

Sussex County, New Jersey is inundated with black bears. My mother sees them in her yard all the time (she lives up on Hamburg Mountain). This death was overdue. However, the spineless politicians in N.J. can't stand the thought of armed people killing animals. Idiots. I left the state 20 years ago. For good.

How do you feel about cars causing accidents and killing people? WHy do you feel they are necessary? Is it worth the deaths of innocent children?

Cars don't cause accidents any more than guns murder people.

I was going for the 'need' angle. But, you're absolutely right. Unless your an SUV...they seem to have minds of their own and kill people at will.

You were fortunate.

Like I said, bears are very intelligent animals and with intelligence comes unpredictability. Read the front page of any newspaper.

What you say about a self-defense weapon against a bear being a pistol makes sense, but from a hunting perspective, a rifle is better.

You'd probably need a .44 magnum or .357 magnum to stop a bear with a pistol.

New Jersey was once a great state - farms, forests, lakes, the Ocean. But then it was invaded by urban New Yorkers - most, but not all of whom, are anti-gun, liberal, DemocRATic, and politically correct. Their next target is Pennsylvania. I heard Bucks County, PA has become a bedroom community for those New York City liberals.

If bears killed a kid a day, those liberals in Trenton would respond with more police before they considered a hunt on bears. They are a part of the problem to be sure, but they are the product of the demographic changes I enumerated above.

>The attack occurred in the heart of what is known as the Borscht Belt,
borscht

borscht also borsht (bôrsht) or borsch (bôrsh) noun
A beet soup served hot or cold, usually with sour cream.
[Yiddish borsht, from Russian borshch, cow parsnip (the original base of the soup), borscht.]

While a bear attacking an infant could referring allegorically (perhaps a bear market devouring the assets of the little guy), I think this time it more likely represents the long-prophesied upcoming attack against America by Russia.

Both Henry Gruver and Dumitru Duduman had dreams and visions of seeing America as an unarmed man, fighting against a huge bear which attacked it.  The bear represents Russia.  Here are Dimitru Duduman's others and here is one of Henry Gruver's:

Henry Gruver, I saw Russians Attack the USA

~~~~~~~~~~~
A GREAT BEAR
Two days before taking my father [Dumitru Duduman] to the hospital [1997], I heard his voice in the early morning hours."  I saw something." As usual I got my recorder and went to his bedside. He would not let me record it.  I don't remember everything he said, but I would like to share with you that which I do remember.  My father stated, "The Lord showed me a very large bear.  It was as big as a building, and it began to do battle with an unarmed man."  "Do you see what I have shown you" a voice said, "This is how it will be when the hardships come over America.  No one will be able to defend her.  Only those that trust in Me will be spared.  Everything will start as a heavy rain on a sunny day.  At a time you least expect it."  There was more, but I do not remember the rest.  ...Virginia Boldea
A BEAR FIGHTING AN UNARMED MAN ~ Dumitru Duduman --- April 1997 -
I knelt beside my bed to pray, as I do every night before going to sleep. After finishing my prayer I opened my eyes, but I was no longer in my room. Instead I found myself in a forest. I looked around and to my right I saw a man, dressed in white, who pointed a finger and said,  "See and remember."
It took me a while to find what he was looking at. It was a small bear who seemed half dead lying on the ground. As I continued to watch this bear, it began to breathe deeper. With every passing minute it seemed to revive itself, and, as I watched, it continued to become angrier. It than began It then began to grow. Soon it was larger than the forest floor and as it grew larger it continued to become angrier. It than began to paw the ground, so that when its paw hit the ground, the earth would shudder. The bear continued to devastate all that was in its path until it came upon some men with sticks trying to fend it off. By this time the bear had become so large that it simply crushed the men underfoot and continued its rampage. I was stunned by what I saw and asked the man standing beside me,
"What does this mean?"
"At first, they thought the bear was dead," the man said. "As it will begin to stir once again, they will consider it harmless. Suddenly it will grow strong once more with purpose and violence.  God will blind the eyes of those who continue to trample on the sacrifice of Christ's blood, until the day the bear will strike swiftly. This day will catch them unprepared and it will be just as you saw."
The man said, "Tell my people that the days are numbered and the sentence has been passed. If they will seek My face and walk in righteousness before Me, I will open their eyes that they may see the danger approach. If they only look to the approaching danger, they too will be caught up and trampled under foot. Only in righteousness will they find safety."
Suddenly I was again by myself in my room, on my knees, with sweat covering my face. ...Dimitru Duduman
>Isaac Abraham, a friend of the Schwimmer family and a community leader from the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, said the girl was pronounced dead at Ellenville Regional Hospital.
Get thee out, Abraham...unto the land...
Sorry. I shot my mouth off before reading the whole article. I was in a hurry at work and just scanned the first few lines. As I live in New Jersey, it caught my eye about the debate about the needed hunt for Bear. The Bears here have learned here to rush children at school bus stops so they'll drop their lunch and run. Free meal for the Bear. It is inevetiable that there will be a Bear hunt in New Jersey, only after public outrage over a child being mauled to death, gives the weinne whimp polititions cover. There by my comment "The name of the person who will die.
