At least Frats are associated with educational institutions. Heck, Gore is a plain ol idiot associated with pointy headed people in the backwoods of Tennessee.

Those who've had the opportunity see him speak to an audience will always attest to this. It's interesting - I got to shake his hand during the campaign, and I said something to him...he looked me STRAIGHT in the eye (even though there was a huge, noisy crowd all around) and thanked me. It felt like he had really heard what I said and absorbed it. Definitely not what I would have expected, given the circumstances and the chaotic situation. I will never forget it.

Good ping! Thanks, HC.
...And he's sexy too! (Sorry for that sexist remark but it's SO true...)

Just getting to this MJY.....thanks for the ping!
One question I have for the author........"Where in the world have you been for the past year and a half?" The rest of the world has known he's not a 'doofus' for a really long time now!

An experience you'll continue to cherish I'm sure. Have you washed your hand yet? LOL.

"President Bush didn't speak at his audience. He didn't speak to his audience. He spoke with his audience. He related. And he connected. "
Oh, there was a "doofus boy" there alright but it wasn't the President.
President Bush isn't about symbolism he is about substance. If this reporter hadn't been so absorbed with aesthetics, if he had actually listened to any of the Presidents's speeches, he might have "connected" with the President a long time ago.
