Aren't hatchbacks surrounded with windows? Can't you see in them without raising the lid? If so, you could have seen the little boy in that car just by looking in the window. I don't think he would have gotten in there and covered up with something. If all the information in this article is accurate, then I suspect something really sick happened to this child. It's sickening. I surely hope the Texas Rangers are investigating. And I am praying for a rapid solution. And I agree with the idea of public executions, especially of child killers or molesters.

This was on a 25 acre farm/ranch. How many acres of 20 year old hatchbacks with their trunks waving in the wind waiting for a child to crawl in? Anybody know if the hatchback latch is key operated or push button operated? If it needs a key to open something is fishy.

OK, it's possible. Either he trapped himself in the hot car or someone put him there. I guess there isn't any inbetween.

We wait for the medical examiners report...poor little kid.

Interesting that you bring up this point...

I recall visiting with a noted conservative theologian and here was his take (paraphrased) - In the old days, executions served as an example to the community of the consequence of heinous crimes.

The liberals cried foul and argued that viewing executions was too cruel and ghastly for citizens' to see, so officials made executions "private."

After that was accomplished, liberals then began to howl that private executions failed to serve as a deterrent at all, and should be banned.

As a result of bowing to liberal sensitivities, we now have an ineffective method of punishment because it's been so neutralized by the left.

Thank you so much for pinging me!

I thought they'd already searched every single car THOROUGHLY, inside and out?

I don't believe that little boy died accidentally.

Yeah.
When Sean Hannity starts talking about how it may be a good idea to have chips implanted into our children (which he has), we oughta be concerned.

"My God, is everyone out there, including the dogs, retarded??!"

That all depends on whether or not a liberal Democrat taught the dogs...

But it does nothing to stick the mind of that one who MAY commit a similar offense. Yet as such, it requires a crime to have already been perpetrated. Only by publicly viewing a dying body can one clearly attach consequence with action....

What exactly is the Amber alert system? What happens when it's utilized?

From their web site: http://www.missingkids.com/html/amberplan.html
The AMBER Plan is a voluntary partnership between law-enforcement agencies and broadcasters to activate an urgent bulletin in the most serious child-abduction cases.
Broadcasters use the Emergency Alert System (EAS), formerly called the Emergency Broadcast System, to air a description of the missing child and suspected abductor.
This is the same concept used during severe weather emergencies. The goal of the AMBER Alert is to instantly galvanize the entire community to assist in the search for and safe return of the child.

Please visit the site and learn all you can then get involved. Especially if you live in one of the blue states as shown in reply #24, get your politicians involved. Thanks for your interest.

>>THOROUGHLY<<
From my friend who helped with the search: "The assistant warden of the prison and two of his guards searched every vehicle down to pulling the trash out from under the seats."
"When they were done, they leaned against that car and talked about where to search next."
This was an 82 VW hatchback. A quick google search shows the Quantum and the Rabbit. Both are glass windowed hatches.
These guys are trained to search for escapees. They are not going to climb into a car and pull trash out from under the seats and not look in the clearly visible back of the vehicle.
Maybe I'm too close to the situation to be objective, but I just don't buy the idea that the child was in the car when it was searched. I hope some of the other info I have been told comes out soon so I can talk more about it too. There is way more to this story than is being told in the press right now.

Agree...even a four year old boy would find a way to beat out a window or get out of that car...this is a cover up and foul play is evident!

This has been a horrible past few months for the children of our country. I hope we see more endings like we did yesterday when the victims are found and the perp is shot to death
This past few months has been no more horrible than the past 50 years, it's just that the media has latched onto a story and that's all you hear about.

Oh, thank you so much for the update! That's very kind of you, and I do appreciate it.

I have to agree that something doesn't seem right about this little boy's death. But nothing will cause the truth to shine better than the full light of disclosure. The more people are informed and involved the more likely the perp will be located. Keep on bumpin'.

"Cruel and unusual punishment should only be considered death by mutilation or some slow and painful death."

Well Governor, I agree. However, would you think the definition of "cruel and unusual" should be considered relative to the murder of the victim(s)?

I know of a case where this intruder nailed an elderly man to a wall in his house, repeatedly raped the man's wife, and then bludgeoned them both to death with a hammer. The state says the intruder needs incarceration for life - I can't see how life remotely applies to this pathetic excuse of a human...

Az

"would you think the definition of "cruel and unusual" should be considered relative to the murder of the victim(s)?"

Yup!
"Unusual", to my mind, is the key.
In a case where some "mad-dog" killer gets caught he should suffer the same pain and misery as his victims.
That's not "unusual" considering what they suffered.

They could give that guy to me....I have nails and a hammer...and I'd save the state a lot of money.

AND, I'd I'd have no trouble sleeping well that night.

Zactly my sentiments, Governor. The criminals raise the bar for judging "unusual" or/and "cruel". If they set the standards, they should be judged and prosecuted by the same...

Az
