Rapper Charged with Murder: Human Flesh Found In Stomach

Antron Singleton aka "Big Lurch," an up-and-coming rapper from Texas, was charged with murdering a Los Angeles woman in April, after a detective's report showed there were teeth marks on her face and lungs, which were torn from her chest, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Due to the extreme nature of the crime, Singleton was being held without bail until his arraignment on June 13.

A medical examination conducted shortly after his arrest, found flesh in Singleton's stomach that wasn't his own.

In Compton Superior Court Wednesday, Los Angeles Detective Raymond Jankowski said he found the body of the Tynisha Ysais, 21, Singleton's alleged victim, in her apartment with her chest torn open.  Jankowski also reported that he found a three-inch blade broken off in the victim's shoulder blade and her lungs appeared to be chewed and torn.

"Her chest was open, exposing internal organs," Jankowski told the Los Angeles Times.

A friend of Ysais, Alisa Allen, reported that she saw Singleton naked in the street, covered in blood, staring at the sky. After contacting the police, who arrested Singleton, Allen then discovered Ysais lying dead in her apartment.

According to reports, Ysais' boyfriend admitted that he and Singleton were smoking PCP the night before the murder.

According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), PCP is a white powdery drug that generally causes abusers to become disturbed, delusional, violent, paranoid and fearful when it is sniffed, smoked, or eaten.

Davey D, a hip-hip activist of www.daveyd.com, said he got to know Singleton when he worked as a personality at California radio station KMEL 106.1.  He said the crime that Singleton is accused of doesn't fit his personality nor is it indicative of hip-hop music.  "I don't think this fits anyone's rap persona. PCP is capable of taking anyone out of their mind.  This is bigger then hip-hop," he told BET.Com.

"It begs to question what is going on that so many people feel they got to take a mind altering substance to remove them from their natural mind state," he queried. "At times the world is a crazy place and this situation with Big Lurch proves that."

As Big Lurch, Singleton has rapped with popular rappers like Jive Records' artist Mystikal and E-40 of California.

I've talked to a cop who told me that he and other cops are more afraid of people on PCP than any other suspect. He told me you can break their bones and it will not stop an attack. A violent PCP user can only be stopped with deadly force.I've seen people on the stuff. They can be very scary and completly out of their minds. There is no limit on what they may do.

Looks like the military should be in interested in this.

G. Gorden Liddy interviewed some big-wig cop who saw the video presented to the public, was outraged and called the LA prosecutor's office to testify.

He got there, viewed the whole tape, and announced the cops did the right thing.

He said he wanted to testify for the defense but the prosecution deliberately keep him on their witness list, forgoing his ability to testify for the defense.

ound flesh in Singleton's stomach that wasn't his own.

No, it's clear that it was the flesh that was not his own. If it were the stomach that was not his own the sentence would read: " (subject) found flesh in Singleton's stomach, which was not his own."

I'm not arguing that rap music "drove" this guy to do anything. I am arguing that the entire sub-culture that this cannibal belonged to is loathsome and vile. Rap just happens to glorify the very worst elements of that sub-culture, which is why I condemn it.

when I was young and STUPID and experimented with drugs, I tried PCP. I did 100 upside down pushups- I could not do one before that. My muscles were sore for 2 weeks...

I would agree with that way of looking at it ---normal people wouldn't even want to listen to the lyrics of many of these "songs".

My question is: What medical exam finds it IN HIS STOMACH? I would think it would materialize 'in his system'. Did they do a surgery to open the stomach and find it, or did they wait for the natural process of elimination to find it?

Well, at the end of the tape, it was a brutal beating, but, the networks didn't supply the audio, when one of the cops was screaming at Rodney to stay down. He kept trying to get to his feet in spite of riot batons to the back of his legs. Hence, on top of the Taser hits I think, the cops' fear that this guy could not feel pain (PCP, meth, crack, whatever). If he had gotten to his feet and gotten one of the cops in his grasp, they would have had to go for the head instead of his legs with the riot batons, or worse, deadly force. It's easy to second-guess procedure, unless you were there and in the cops' shoes. Rodney has been arrested at least 3 times since then from my memory (DUI, abusing his wife, abusing his daughter (i think), so he's not exactly an angel.

Now the 99 percentile probably can digest this material as entertainment however reinforced by video games etc Im sure there are certain minds that believe all this crap,in this case it may be something as simple as pcps motivating a pre-existant Tyson style ganster mindset, but that 'thought' had to be pre-programmed somewhere if you look at this mans ilk their video clips all entertain violence, suicide, revenge, anger, frustration with liberal sprinklings of dark basements filled with cockroaches,Kurgan style body decorations, scantilly clad sluts which ever increasingly morph into demons or like a clip this morning I saw on tv at gym riding the bike,'Little Miss Satan' worse, even Janet jackson in one clip today has some guy on a cross and shes stroking his crotch area.

Probably the longest sentence I've read in a while. ;)

The thing is, though, freaky, f***ed-up people will always find inspiration for crazy, insane acts somewhere, whether it's TV, movies, rap music, Catcher in the Rye, or the Bible. Why? Because they're freaky, f***ed-up people. It doesn't matter what kind of a soft, fuzzy Nerf world you manufacture - some people will find some inspiration for doing insane things. If the only art, literature, music and film in the world were from Dr. Seuss, the whackos of the world would be drawing inspiration for their insanity from the Lorax.

Does mass-media make it worse? I don't know - maybe. But I do think that freaky, f***ed-up people have always been with us, and always will be with us, no matter what's on TV...

Easy, cut open the chest, remove lungs, and bite down.

Actually the sentence still doesn't make sense. If the flesh found in his stomach would have been his own it means he would have needed to bite a junk of his arm orleg off and eat it.

Firstly, I'd say that if they had found the girl cut open with "chewed on" lungs, they probably pumped his stomach to check... On another note, a google search on this guys name finds this:
http://www.5thcoa.courts.state.tx.us/files/05/01/05011516.htm
An arrest last year in Texas for cocaine possession...

I also found this:
http://www.artistdirect.com/music/artist/appears/0,,724754,00.html
It gives names of songs he's performed on... great titles... :(

He was a sicko for sure... and it's a shame we'll have to "house him" for a few years...

They probably got a court order to have his stomach pumped.
