Imus just asked Lieberman why Rubin isn't in handcuffs and dragged out in front of the cameras like all of the other criminals. Lieberman seemed to doze off at that point...

. I bet it's the first time ever, a self-important, pompous ass senator has deferred to the much maligned Dan Burton...or any lowly congress House critter, for that matter.Wasn't that unusual. What a lame attempt to sidestep responsibility.
To: JohnPaulJones
Ohhhh, we couldn't do that, John Paul. Public officialdom is only for self-sacrificing AFSCME-ites concerned with the greater public good.

He wants Burton to take it so the DemoRATS can blame the Republicans for a political witch hunt......Not so easy here LIEman your on the hook. It's time the DemoRATS start cleaning thr trash out of the party.. On the other hand if they do it there won't be anyone left......
To: Libloather
No one bought Joe's attempts at whatever he was trying to do. One emailer enjoyed hearing the sweat on Lieberman's lip...I switched to Fox after I-man beat up the LIE-man. I wish I would have stayed around.
I'll post my letter to Imus in about an hour on this thread. I'm glad to hear people all over the country hit him with words against the lying POS.

"Something tells me that Imus is a closet Rush fan. He could not have thought up the "Rubin" question by himself, since he's insulated within the New York leftist mind controlling media.".......You couldn't be more wrong.

Since Senator Lieberman is investigating ENRON there is NO excuse for trying to get Burton to call Rubin. If Holy Joe is interested in a complete investigation (har-de-har-har) then he MUST call Rubin and the guys from the other financial institutions. Period. Otherwise, his investigation is without merit and is nothing but a staged photo-op to bash Republicans, and the President in particular.
To: BOBTHENAILER
Did you notice how LIEberman lied about not knowing how much money Citigroup had given him? He knew well enough how much Enron had given him.

Thanks for the ping. I posted the following on the "Day 2" thread:
Just a thought. I may be stating the obvious but smarmy Lieberman may have been telegraphing a message to the administration. At least twice when Imus asked him if Rubin was going to be called to testify, Lieberman made sure he got O'Neil and Evans in his reply. He might be saying to W, "Either send over your boys, or there will be no Rubin."

Want to tell lots of people about this? Go here:
Ignorance Making You Ill? Cure It!
for links, tools, & instructions about how to contact a pile of different people, and how to send a link to this story right here ( or anywhere else ) to a "mass email" using Outlook Express.
Do be advised that since I increased my volume of mass emails to letters to editors I have gotten return volleys of virus attacks- my ISP filters them out before the get to my PC, but if yours does not, take appropriate precautions to guard your PC.
I take this as a positive- my emails are simply links with no editorial content; so the other side must fear & loath the information even reaching the public.

We concur. The ballot box is going to be more important for history's sake than ever before. God help this country if any of the Clintonistas ever return to power.

You are right on the money but let's don't deflect the spotlight from the Corp-perps. We can get the congress-perps at the polls. If Dubya and his troops send these greedy guts to real jails to do real time we will see some of the worst liberal congress-perps go down in November. Weeded out we can concentrate on those left/right who are left. SLOGAN will be "CAGE SENATOR BIRD".

Lieberman trying to shift responsibility to Dan Burton was a not so artful dodge. Maybe Burton should take the lead that he's been handed.
To: Libloather
I do think the Feds and Congress should be held to the same standards of accounting as they propose for private industry...that more than anything else would restore the world's faith in the integrity of our country.

Private MUD reporting fer duty, sir!!
Let's spread the word on McAuliffe and Rubin...they were both complicit in Clinton's illicit campaign finance scandals. Exposing these two during the investigatory phase will expose Der SchleekMeister!!

Something tells me that Imus is a closet Rush fan. He could not have thought up the "Rubin" question by himself, since he's insulated within the New York leftist mind controlling media. Don't bet on it. Bernie writes the tough questions for the I-Man and I would bet he is a Rush fan.
The one thing Imus does that really p!sses me off, is he portrays Rush as a racist in his parodies (Rush impersonator singing 'All my friends have white faces').
I have repeatedly heard far more un-PC racist and gay bashing comments on Imus than Rush. I think it gripes Imus that Rush makes much more than he does.

"A simple way to provide them their just reward is the ballot box."And so, I am reluctantly coming back to supporting Term Limits, that most-undemocratic but most-effective means of regularly rooting the scoundrels out.
It's unfortunate, but it seems they all become scoundrels after a time.
And BTW, Van Hilleary, Congressman and the next governor of Tennessee, is to be congratulated for keeping the term-limits pledge he made 12 years ago!
