There's been plenty of debate on FR in the past couple of weeks. Many posters have appeared to be too thin skinned on their key issues. I've cheesed off bicycle nazis (who only post to bicycle threads), veagan nazis, and atheist nazis.

There is plenty of difference of opinion on whether President Bush is a RINO, drug legalization, and countless other issues. We are not of one mind but we have far more content and positive discourse than DUh or Dems.commies where the posts tend to "#%@&!!" and "Hands up, DOOD!".

FR has been getting waves of "new recruits" in the past 2 weeks as well and they have been defensive when their signup date is brought into question.

I can handle difference of opinion, but disrupters need to be dealt with quickly. They don't seek to divert the conversation with facts, just derail discussion on the article at hand.

That we merit such attention from the DNC's "bad boy" partner site means that we must be doing something right. FR is free from GOP control; the same cannot be said of Dems.commies.

Atheist nazis

Careful there sonny jim.

Yeah, I've seen the threads, but it just feels like more of the same. The only people who have actual disagreements with the majority of FR are the Libretarians, and even they just sound like tax-dodging Republicans who want to smoke pot. I like debating liberals about issues because it feels like an actual debate. It feels fresh, and that's something that I think we're lacking around here.

But only if we allow it and rise to the bait.

I find it easy to ignore stupid off-topic or hypothetical questions or change of subject when their purpose is clearly to prevent discussion of the issue originally raised, or the news reported.
