then we're going to have to accept that Larry will beat his own drum collecting funds to support JW.

Absolutely. He's got to because we all know that the next dem that occupies the WH is going to be more corrupt than the last one.

"There is now evidence that the audit of at least one Clinton ''enemy'' was triggered by the White House"

Pardon me, but wasn't there 'evidence' of IRS audits of Clinton enemies BEFORE, during the Clinton administration???

Paula Jones, WND, and so many others who dare speak out against the Clintons have the similar smoking guns.

I recall this point being made 4 years ago. Did Larry just discover this ?

Oh my, well maybe the right wing is getting something for their contributions </ sarcasm>

I doubt anything will come of this. Klayman has had a couple of minor court victories, but has he ever dealt anyone a knockout punch? He's like the guy in the Beatles song who "disagrees and never wins." His litigation just seems to go on and on without ever accomplishing anything. Correct me if I'm wrong.

" . . . and dispatched to Commissioner Charles Rossotti's office . . . The same day . . . a telephone call . . . was made . . ."

This is the key to it all. Is it normal for a citizen complaint to be delivered directly to the commissioner, and to be dealt with so expeditiously? I doubt it very much. It looks like someone was mainlining these politically motivated audit requests directly to the top.

Looks to me like a squeaky wheel got a little grease, regardless of whether people would invite ol Larry over for Thanksgiving dinner or not.

"a squeaky wheel"....That is a perfect description of Larry. He'd be a squeaky 5th wheel, though.
I have publicly expressed gratitude to Larry for any and all aggravation he may have caused Bill and Hill, because they deserve it. Call me a Bushbot, but I cannot put GW Bush or Dick Cheney in the same category with Bill and Hill. Bush and Cheney do not deserve Little Larry's aggravation.

Thank-you for the ping.

Regardless of whether or not people like Klayman, these documents show exactly what Klayman and many others have believed and been saying for years--that the IRS' audit notification to Judicial Watch was politically motivated. People didn't believe Larry when he made these claims, well now he has the proof.

This audit was a clear attempt by the Clinton Administration, via the IRS, to silence Judicial Watch, because they posed a true threat to the Clinton's seeming unbreakable reign of power. Non-profit organizations should never be coerced into silence because of their ideological beliefs. Nor should political motivation be the proper probable cause that the Federal Government uses to audit people.

Nothing will happen to Bill Clintoon, it never does.
At least it will add another black mark next to his name for some historian to mention a hundred years from now.

i just remembered that Bill O'Reilly has talked about being harrassed by the IRS under clinton's watch.

Maybe somebody could bring Novak's column to BO's attention.

I occassionally fly people active in conservative politics (and social issues) - all of whom the members of this forum would know. One of them recently told me that his organization got audited after Clinton became president. The IRS sent a handful of agents to his location. They stayed for three years. After providing them with office space and hiring accountants/lawyers to protect their integrity, the organization came out $100K to the good. Unfortunately it cost over $1M to deal with it.

This is the kind of abuse of power that demands jail time!

"Watchdog group"

Every time I see that phrase in a Klayman-related thread, I think of the guy who *must* have been Larry's principle role model:

Melvin P. Thorpe, "Watchdog".

"Texas has a whorehouse in it..." LOL!
