Only libertarian Canadian lawyers and judges are pushing for the rights of pedophiles to be extended. They believe in absolute freedom of speech, which is contrary to the tenets of socialism. Freedom of speech and expression are specifically guaranteed by our Constitution, and rightfully so. Unfortunately such guarantees only hold as much water as the judge making the decision.
Child pornography strengthens the appetites of pedophiles rather than weakening it and serves no good purpose. Having access to media which depicts children having sex is indefensible on any grounds. I'll take absolute freedom of speech and expression over anything you might want to offer up and from what I know of Canada via my step-mother and step-sisters that just about covers everything you might wish to say.......
Whenever the security of children clashes with the demands from pdeophiles and their libertarian lawyers to complete freedom of speech and expression, I'm on the side of protecting children from pedophiles. For what it's worth, DON'T EVER MENTION CANADA AND LIBERTARIAN IN THE SAME SENTENCE OR YOU WILL BE LAUGHED OUT OF DODGE....... Except that many socialists agree with social conservatives that infringing on the rights of pedophiles to access child pornorgraphy is justifiable while libertarians would never agree.
Sorry sport but I stand by my statement that Canada is hardly a bastion of Libertarianism. Whether you wish to admit it or not Judges = Government and your government has told you that you must accept pedophilia. You who lives in a socialist society are bashing Libertarians merely on one issue, child pornography and pornography in general. For what it's worth, I happen to support your disgust in this issue but I am hardly going to rely on my government to decide what is morally right and morally wrong which is precisely what your GOVERNMENT JUDGES AND OURS are doing. That is up to you and your fellow citizens if you've got the balls to stand up to this type of crap.
Of course I am assuming you still have the right to public protest and to public demonstrations outside the halls of your lawmakers and outside the doors of the establishments producing this crap.

Social Conservatives? Here in the U.S. such folks are considered by us REAL conservatives as Socialists, period! These government funded/educated social engineers are also the elites who advocate safe sex over abstinance, AIDS awareness over ABSTINANCE and HOMOSEXUAL acceptance. ALL THESE PROGRAMS ARE GOVERNMENT MANDATED, hardly a position that the Libertarians support.
The Libertarian party here in the U.S. is all about limited government, period. Not a government that wishes to dictate your every move.
Morality should be defined by the masses, not the government!!!! Unfortunately that is not what is happening and it certainly is not a Libertarian principle. As soon as the U.S. and your Socialist country can accept that then perhaps the journey to Gomorrah can be averted......
