Sorry to disagree with you but Canada is hardly a bastion of Libertarian principles. What you have is what we categoricaly classify as a Socialistic Society: no right or wrong merely warped constitutional decisions by socialist judges.
Freedom of speech and expression are specifically guaranteed by our Constitution, and rightfully so. Unfortunately such guarantees only hold as much water as the judge making the decision.
I'll take absolute freedom of speech and expression over anything you might want to offer up and from what I know of Canada via my step-mother and step-sisters that just about covers everything you might wish to say.......

Whenever the security of children clashes with the demands from pdeophiles and their libertarian lawyers to complete freedom of speech and expression, I'm on the side of protecting children from pedophiles.
