NEWSMAX GOES "KOOK". Promoting Video Claiming Govt. Behind 9-11!
NewsMax.com | Burr5

Posted on 07/22/2002 6:07:14 PM PDT by Burr5

Chris Ruddy's NewsMax, which I used to have some degree of trust in, given that he was so instrumental in exposing the truth about Vince Foster's murder, refuses to remove an advertisement it's carrying promoting a video by one Alex Jones, a conspiracy kook who claims, in excruciatingly unexamined, half-assed detail, that the U.S. government, and the "New World Order", were in fact behind the attacks of September 11. They ALLOWED Al-Qaida to do this, you see, so that they could institute global tyranny. Blah, blah, blah.

Because, obviously, George W. Bush and George Mephistopheles Bush and their "golfing buddies" at the nineteenth hole want to rule the Earth! And to plant chips in your forearms so Mephistopheles will never again have to face an "Old World Order" grocery scanner when buying milk! And furthermore, ohhhhh, man, I can't go on. Need to go get a beer. It's too ridiculous........

From what i gather he is a very patriotic person and i don't think he does this for the money, i think he's pretty secure financially.

I agree. I'm not aware of Limbaugh, or any other hosts, encouraging people to copy their works and distribute them for free. (That's not a critism of Rush; just backing up your statement that he isn't in it for the money).

I also think he was offered $1 million dollars by a large media corporation (ABC?) to have a show. The price was that he would have to become more "mainstream". He turned them down. At least that's what I gathered from the few times he has mentioned it.

I have a lot of respect for the man.

I dropped Newsmax when they exploited Barbara Olsen's death as a way to make money. In the time just after her death, they would run an article about it, and include an ad selling her book.

Ruddy is a profiteer.

Isn't it odd how many of "our" "real conservatives" are turning out to be just not bad, if not worse, than "their" flunkies?

1). Cite me a source for that one. 2). "Partially true", you say. Completely deceptive misdirection I say. 3). But does Shippers suggest the NWO were out to destroy the WTC? 4). Even you admit this one is a "stretch". 5). This notorious "Northwood Document" is from 19freaking62! 6). Even A.E. Pritchard goes out of his way to say that this is nonesense. 7). Is it unconstitutional? Maybe. Have we ever faced an enemy like this one? No. These questions are why we have the Supremes. 8). How exactly do our (not exactly!) "WIDE OPEN" borders suggest that George W. Bush wanted 9-11 to happen? 9). You admit, again, that this one is "something of a stretch". 10). "The cashless society". Worry about the "Mark of the Beast" if you want to. It does nothing to support the allegations Jones is making. I think "the case", as you've presented it, with your help on all the crucial points, has been refuted.

The only "refutation" that you offer is #6(which relies on A.E.Pritchard)and number ten which you point out is not really germane to the incident of 9/11.Number one,you just ask for proof, don't refute anything.Number 2,it's well established that bin Laden was funded with US funds,be they CIA or other.#3, the target was American liberty, not some particular building. And your question on this point doesn't refute anything.# 4,the author "admits" it's a stretch,he doesn't know whether it's true, nor do you.It may be a strech, and it may be true.ditto # 9.#5The "NWO" people have been in our government from about the time of JFK,the so-called "whiz kids",just as counter-insurgency was becoming the vogue in warfare. The point is innocent casualties were contemplated to further a political goal.#6,the truth will come out about mcVeighs trips to the Philippines, and the FBI's lone assassin theory, discounting eyewitness reports of suspicious men in the area before and after the bombing.#7 bears repeating,I can't believe a freeper would write thisIs it unconstitutional? Maybe. Have we ever faced an enemy like this one? No. These questions are why we have the Supremes. So the "supremes",as you call them, are to rationalize unconstitutional measures?Again,no refutation. His # 8 is a good point to consider, and your "refutation" is a non-sequitur.Sorry for the lack of formatting.

Does this REALLY surprise anybody? I stopped paying attention to NewsMax a year or so ago when they started shading more toward "Weekly World News."

obviously believes George W. Bush to be the equivalent of Joseph Stalin...

Please show me the quote or a link where NewsMax/associates, etc. said that.

Right. And oh, I have a couple more that I want you to see. One of them's a thrilling classic science fiction film called Plan 9 From Outer Space that is absolutely prophetic with regard to future contact with alien intelligence.

The other's a riveting anti-drug expose' called Reefer Madness.

Now, be sure you view BOTH of these films with an open mind, and seriously consider the messages they have to share, before you restort to any overt criticism.

You know we have to be fair and give every notion a reasonable hearing!

As soon as anyone mentions a keyword like "shortwave," I immediately "tune out."

Don't waste my time.

What if someone held a Reichstag and noone noticed?

Without absolute proof, which would be your witnessing the facts. . . . you are relying on Television for 'truth'.

It is entirely possible that the US DID do the WTC attacks.

Now, I don't happen to believe that they did. . . . IN THIS CASE..... but believing everything you are told by a black box in your living room is moronic.

Not going to deeply go into it... but...

What price absolute control over the most resistant populace in the world?

3,000 dead and few billion in damages?

I do not think they DID do it... but I would not put it past them.

It's not just "bad." It's disgusting. At least the opposition is ideologically pure, in that they believe their own drivel. Those like Ruddy and Horowitz -- and I've worked for both of them -- pretend to be one thing while they are secretly another. I can't imagine anything lower than that. It's like being the quarterback for the home team and throwing interceptions on purpose -- for money!

Without truly examing the merits of these claims, it occurs to me that "the government" is not a monolithic structure. Lots goes on below the awareness of the supposed "policy making" levels. I would not put it beyond certain agencies, or rather rogue elements within them, to have deliberatly allowed such a thing.

That said, it's just as likely, nay more likely, that ordinary incompetence is the culprit. Too many "leaders" too busy empire building to do the ****ing jobs.

NewsMax is and has been nothing but a news rehasher with their opinion thrown in.

Same with FR....

Paranoids will always have a paranoid reaction to even the most insignificant things.

And Statists will always have a personal reaction to even the most significant of things.

You oddly didn't mention we're the least free we ever have been. Wonder why?
