Too late. It always amazes me when jurors change their mind, as if they had been dealing with which toilet paper to choose rather than someone's life and just realized it.

I think Juror No. 8 has an IQ to match.

Morford, who was unable to present his side of the story when Detore testified in Washington, yesterday categorically denied "any improper conduct" and said Traficant brought up the same allegations last year in legal motions that were rejected by Judge Lesley Wells. He declined to comment on Glaser's statements. Please note that Morford did not deny the factual allegations, but only denied "any improper conduct". To many prosecutors, subverting due process and obstructing justice is not "improper".

The check from the DNC must have bounced.
To: Ready2go
I watched the House hearings, and even if only 1% is true of what Detore said...there is a real problem with this case!
To: Ready2go
Traficant has made a career of bribery, payoffs, intimidation, and general thuggery. Why should anyone believe that he is incapable of paying a juror to change his mind?

Sort of. I've been on two juries simply because the lawyers ran out of challenges before they could even question me. They spent all their time and challenges on the bozos in the front row.
I don't know whether that happened here, but it's a rare case where the judge allows the lawyers days or even hours to select a jury.

It sounds like the Judge had a confict. It may be appealed and overturned someday. Then can he have his seat back.
To: Ready2go
Wonder how much Traficant paid him to have a public "change of heart."

Intleigent, knowledgable people aren't allowed on jurys by defendants lawyers. I've been called for jury duty 5 times and have spent the entire time getting booted off jurys by defense attorneys.

I wonder if Leo Glaser is related to Joe Glaser, also of the Cleveland area? Joe Glaser was a folk musician. My father knew him when we lived in Cleveland and we would sometimes visit his home which I think was out in the country. As a result my father had a bunch of Joe Glaser records and played them a lot. I learned to HATE folk music from that experience and really identified with Bluto when he smashed the guitar belonging to a folk musician in Animal House.

Isn't this case a clintinista left-over because he broke ranks during the impeacement?

Traficant has made a career of bribery, payoffs, intimidation, and general thuggery. I would guess that almost all of our senators and congress have done the same.
