If anyone saw Traficant before the House Ethics Committee, it is obvious that man is deranged. Apparently he thinks that because he's watched a couple of episodes of "L.A. Law," he's now an attorney. And because he swiped a cheap thesaurus, he's eloquent. What he really is is a fat, loutish thug who impresses only himself, and who is crookeder than a drunk snake's trail.

If the Republicans need a buffoon like him on their side, they are pitiful indeed.

And foul-mouthed. You forgot that. He's crude and boorish.

What was amusing in a 1 minute speech became quite tiresome in his hourlong screeds before the ethics committee. I was embarassed for him because surely he wasn't embarassed for himself.

He's also likely linked to the mob..

Which (and I know the soprano's fans here on FR will crap a golden brick) should scare everyone silly.

They know all about corruption, they practically invented it.

Apparently you're unaware of JT's first federal trial. He was his own attorney and beat the feds on their Rico charge, which is a very strong incentive for the feds to go after him.

Also, do you remember the records retrieved from the FBI's dumpster pertaining to John Demanijak (sp) that ended up in JT's hands and were instrumental in John D's defense? It seems that the FBI just somehow "forgot" to turn those over to John D's defense.

So, now, there are two huge reasons why the feds' dander is up.

BTW, to whomever, what's this about murder? Give me a break and get back to reality.

Actually some newspaper reporter from his state was on CSPAN discussing him and said he is "crazy like a fox".
Don't underestimate this guy, part of this stuff is an act.

Agree! He reminds me of Bill Clinton, and like the congressman, Clinton should be going to jail.
