By the way, when I was attacked by a black gang in Landover, MD and beaten with baseball bats for no reason (other than my race) a few years ago, I was totally unable to get the story covered by the local media. So I can easily believe what this story says about a media blackout. And now there is a whole book on the subject, William McGowan's Coloring the News.
Please, read before posting. I didn't dispute the facts. I just disliked the spin that the report put on the crime, straining very hard to frame it as a racially-motivated crime, when there's (at this point) no evidence to suggest it is.
