One source was quoted as saying, "While we don't yet have enough evidence to implicate the LAX gunman in the Fall of Man, we're working on it..."

Ali at the same time he was working for Bin Laden was also working as a full time FBI operative out of Sacramento, California from 1992- 1998

..."full time FBI operative"? In what capacity? As an informer, undercover source or as an actual FBI agent?

Reponse to Gritty's reply #5:

Ali Mohammed worked as an FBI informer and close undercover source for the FBI. He would report to the FBI about his overseas travel and what he also was doing in the US. This was reported in the Sacrmento Bee in 1998 (actual name of one of Ali's FBI handler given in the article).

Former CIA and State Department counter terrorism official LC Johnson (now a consultant for Fox News)also testified before COngress in 2001 after 9/11 about Ali Mohammed's role for the FBI. I saw LC Johnsons testimony on CSPAN. Johnson claimed in his testimony that the FBI and CIA lost track of and was "double crossed" by Ali Mohammed.

Other Names

Egyptian Islamic Jihad
Islamic Jihad
Jihad Group

Description
Egyptian Islamic extremist group active since the late 1970s. Close partner of Bin Ladin's al-Qaida organization. Suffered setbacks as a result of numerous arrests of operatives worldwide, most recently in Lebanon and Yemen. Primary goals are to overthrow the Egyptian Government and replace it with an Islamic state and attack US and Israeli interests in Egypt and abroad.

Activities
Specializes in armed attacks against high-level Egyptian Government personnel, including cabinet ministers, and car-bombings against official US and Egyptian facilities. The original Jihad was responsible for the assassination in 1981 of Egyptian President Anwar Sadat. Claimed responsibility for the attempted assassinations of Interior Minister Hassan al-Alfi in August 1993 and Prime Minister Atef Sedky in November 1993. Has not conducted an attack inside Egypt since 1993 and has never targeted foreign tourists there. Responsible for Egyptian Embassy bombing in Islamabad in 1995; in 1998, planned attack against US Embassy in Albania was thwarted.

Strength
Not known but probably has several hundred hard-core members.

Location/Area of Operation
Operates in the Cairo area. Has a network outside Egypt, including Yemen, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan, Lebanon, and the United Kingdom.

External Aid
Not known. The Egyptian Government claims that both Iran and Bin Ladin support the Jihad. Also may obtain some funding through various Islamic nongovernmental organizations, cover businesses, and criminal acts.

This guy is not your average airport user. He walked in carrying a pistol and a knife. Did he expect to get on a plane. No - he came there to kill people, pure and simple.

Newsmax has also confirmed the report in Hatrats and Annanumb that the limo driver has been linked to the Swiss Guards that offed their boss...and put the Swiss threat radar on the whack.

Nah, our LAX shooter couldn't possibly be affiliated with these guys.

True, he went to the airport with that intention. I read earlier than he left a message taped to the window either at his home or place of business. The full content of the note hasn't been published, but someone posted at part of it said "Read the Koran" or similar wording.

Yes, he went to the airport intentionally to kill.

[I guess we can be thankful he chose guns and a knife rather than strapping a bomb onto his body and blowing it up in the tickets line.]

Reply #7 is excellent backgound resource information corroborating strong links between Egyptian Jihad and AlQaeda.

Thanks for posting it TomGuy.

The former Pentagon terror advisor Jesse Clear started working on major portions (75 %) of this Patterns of Global Terrorism Report beginning in 1994. A public and a classified report like it has been issued every year since at least 1995 or earlier. It is a wealth of information.

Well, if things are truly this coincidental, then it would be very simple to eliminate these limited number of threats to American security.

My take is that there probably islittle to absolutely no linkages between these various incidents.

On the other hand, in a highly varied, diverse, and complex world I have yet to figure out how a handful of highly competitive news organizations will resort to reruns of the news in national and international syndication.

Maybe the report is right on and the world as we know it is simply a giant Truman Show. <;^)

How many “sleeper” gunman and pilots like Hadayat and Batouty, possibly recruited and trained for AlQaeda and Bin Laden by Ali Mohammed, are still out there that the FBI needs to round up immediately before they commit more terror acts inside the US??.....

First the FBI has to recognize them as enemies. It seems they are having a hard time with just Hadayet being a suspect.

Hadayet has a father and a uncle who are/were generals in the Egyptian Army.

The uncle has the last name of "Mahfouz".The same name of the BCCI Bush business Mahfouz. Are they related?

If the shooter is the nephew and son of generals, does this not imply some connections?

Surely the Pres,Condi,Cheney,Ashcroft, Mueller and whoever knows this.

So, once again I ask, why do all these Islamic-Jihad-Terrorists-doubleagents get to roam free and kill us?

The AP in its breaking news today and FOX around 5:00 PM announced that the Transportation Security Administration was going to put armed guards at the airport ticket counters around the country.

Since then it has been on again, off again.
