I wish I had one (pedometer). I often walk in a park where the trail circuit is two miles, but now the prob is I keep getting faster and have to retrace my route to fill up the hour. (Not a bad problem!) I get shin splints if I jog so I have to stick with the walking, which is just fine. I do floor exercises (modified sit-ups, etc.), but am not as faithful on that as with walking.

McL, you are right on with the stamina comment. I am loving this. But it's the first time in my life I have been exercising while treating asthma before setting out, and having my blood sugar level stay fairly stable. I can now understand why people love sports.

Sounds like you have quite a regimen. All I do is a 3-4 miles on a treadmill 4-5 days a week, and lately I've been trying to swim a few times a week. I have so much more energy now.

Make sure you stretch before, 1/2 way, and after your walk, Gretchen. You're doing great!

I use my inhaler about 1/2 way into my routine...and lots of water. lots.
